I am currently trying to decide between the 2.This is our anniversary and my birthday trip, most probably it will be just me and DH.We will be spending 3 nights at the Hard Rock and 3 nights at Disney.I have stayed at the Dolphin before, which I absolutely love, but, because of renovations I'm leaning towards staying at the Swan instead.

Here's the thing, I know about SPG ,late check out, fitness center and the grotto pool, which are all wonderful perks to stay at the Swan, but,I'm still thinking maybe we should try the YC. It just seems more romantic. It will come out to more or less the same amount of $$,so,that is not an issue. We are arriving the day after labor day,so, I'm thinking SAB won't be that crowded. We will only be visiting Epcot.

  What would you do??

I have stayed at the Dolphin and the Yacht Club and I would like to try the Swan as well. I really liked the Dolphin but I like the Yacht Club better. The views are not quite as sweeping but they can be more beautiful. It is a bit more intimate and quiet and the room decore is a bit more... um...subtle. ;) We had a first floor water view room next to the turret and it felt like we were staying at an estate as we had a little patio with a small garden and then a view of the great expanse of lawn, the lake and the Boardwalk.
We had a great room at the Dolphin too with two windows and an extra large balconey but I think the Yacht Club is a bit more romantic, plus I like the two restaurants and the pool.

We have stayed at several hotels on disney property. The only bad experience I have ever had was at the swan/dolphin resorts. They are NOT disney owned. They are on property and that is good but they lack the "disney feeling" and warmth in my opinion. At a restaurant at the Dolphin a waiter poured piping hot chocolate on me and then ran off. No apology, nothing. Not until my husband went to the desk did someone come over with a towel. At that point they did re-imburse our meal but no apology. We also had trouble charging things to our room key but they may have fixed that since we went. On the other hand we loved the Yacht club. If you go then you should definitely go to the Yachtsman Steakhouse and if Oscar is still a waiter there ask if he is working and get his section. He is the best waiter at Disney.

Not sure if you have stayed at YC before but having stayed at the Dolphin, why not try the YC.
The Swan and Dolphin share the same wonderful pool, boat dock and are considered sister sites like Y&BC. Plus the Y&BC are closer to Epcot if you decided to walk.

This will be our 30th Ann. and we are going to be staying at the YC.
With what these posters are saying. I think it will be great!;)
I just hope it will not be to hot.
