Okay, all you YC/BC vets out there, could you please tell me which one you like better and why? Is one closer to Stormalong Bay? Does one have more restaurants? Better ambiance? I am conducting a very scientific poll here :goodvibes , so please chime in!

Thanks!!

I was offered both for a great rate from SOG for our upcoming December trip (SOG is sold out for our dates so we got offered either YC, BC, or Boardwalk for about 50% off standard room, yippee for being in the military). I chose BC simply for the proximity to Epcot - that's where we mostly like to have dinners. BC is a bit closer to World Showcase entrance to Epcot.

My fmaily prefers the YC. Been to both and it seems we like the "yachtier" feel (hardwood floors) as opposed to the "beachy" feel. We found that when we stayed at the YC, we had better access to SAB. We liked the restaurants also. Frankly, we just love the location and both are simply great. As a matter of fact, we are returning to the YC in 13 days. :cheer2:

BC has a lighter, airy, more casual feel while the YC has darker wood flooring inside and a more formal look. When I was planning our last trip, I couldn't decide between the two either. After our experience, I feel we made the right decision. We took a peek inside YC and my kids definitely preferred the BC. They all said it was too stuffy for their taste. That being said, I wouldn't hesitate staying at the BC, just depends on your style. It's true, BC is a little closer to Epcot. I'd say proximity to SAB is pretty equal.

Have made two 7 night trips to YC and it's my favorite resort. We haven't stayed at BC but yet but feel YC is best for us.

The BC lobby can sometimes seem overrun with folks going to Cape May and to Beaches and Cream. By the time we hit the YC lobby after the parks, I love the cool, quiet atmosphere.

The rooms at YC almost all have full balconies or patios. BC you can get a SRO balcony. I want to enjoy my balcony at those prices.

YC is also closer to the boat dock. I know BC is closer to Epcot and an easy walk but never say the sense in that when you walk all day. I enjoy boating.

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it....Sharon

I have to agree that the lobby at BC is busier than YC. You can practically hear a pin drop in the YC lobby. I'm sure we're not making your decision any easier. Both are beautiful resorts and each one has it's advantages. Again, I don't think you can go wrong wherever you decide to stay. Enjoy! :flower:

DH and I love the BC - we stayed at the BCV, and it was wonderful. We walked over to YC, and I would agree the lobby was much quieter. We really liked the "beachy" feel, and often walked to Epcot.

My vote is BC! :goodvibes

We just got back today from a 6 day stay at the BCV's. I can not express enough how much we LOVED the BC. We didn't go inside the YC so really I can't compare the two but wanted to add my 2 cents regarding BC being a wonderful place to stay. I can't wait to go back!!

We've stayed both, and I use to like the BC better because it is closer to EPCOT.

When the BCV opened in 02, it has become more crowed, sort of a noisy, hustle bustle type feeling(compare to the YC).

I like the quiet pool better at the BC.

They are both great.

We LOVED the Yacht Club. I loved the decor. It was a bit more formal than the BC, but not stuffy at all. (Besides, if I'm paying that much, nice furniture is more than welcome.) They are so similar in amenities...if I were you, I'd look at the pictures on allearsnet.com and choose the decor you like best.
