YC Concierge opinion and help

Hi everyone!
My wife and I are bringing my parents to The World in October to stay in YC concierge. We've never even seen the resort. Can anyone give me some insite on how a YC conceirge stay is? Also, anyone know the email address of the concierge so I can have them start booking some stuff for us? Thanks SO much!

I had a not so hot stay there last summer.

I hate to say so, but I wasn't very happy there, and wouldn't book it again.

You might want to look at the BWI concierge--I liked that MUCH more!! Better staff, better service.

Our family has stayed at the YC concierge level three times now and we have always been very pleased with everything. Our last trip was last November. Wonderful location! Hope that you have a great time!

Wow thanks for all the help!!!!! I was worried at first. I've had bad experiences at very good places too. I had a rough time at the GF of all places. Management was disorganized and unhelpful when they messed up. I've never wanted the summer to go by, but not I can't wait until October.

We stayed at the YC in 2000 in a standard room, 2002 in YC Conc, and we will be staying there this September. The kids absolutely loved the YC Conc. We (you know the tag alongs, us parents) also enjoyed the YC. We have stayed at the GF, POLY, Coronado Springs, and the YC. The YC is hands down the kids favorite. They loved the pool but really liked the conc. level. Krispy Kreme donuts every morning and desserts every night. When the kids were sleeping we enjoyed having a drink and setting out on the balcony overlooking Stormalong. Occassionly, we could see some of Illuminations and got to see MGM testing new types of fireworks. We found the staff there to be very friendly. The housekeepers were wonderful. The staff always spoke to us in passing. I hope you have a wonderful stay there.

JKW, do you recall what room you were in to see Epcot fireworks? Was that on the water view side?

I'm sooooooo looking forward to this. Haven't gone all out like this before but with the Fairytale package, I got caught up in magic.

That will be great. I've been in contact with the concierge already and so far they've been great. Now to schedule Hoop Dee Do and Victoria and Alberts (we have varied tasts )

Hi Mike,
have a wonderful time! The YC concierge is great, I have stayed there 4 times, going for my 5th this July!

Amy is very nice, if you have the opportunity to speak with Lauren also, she is so very nice!

Amy is the greatest! She makes me feel like I'm the only person she has to deal with. She has made numerous PS's for me and also a few real hard to book ones too. (CRT Breakfast, Illuminations Cruise) She's always pleasant and I can't wait to meet her. July can't get here fast enough.

Sarah and Mike:

We will be at the YC consierge it just 129 days. By we I mean me, DH and three very quiet DS's (15, 12, 9). The boys are really looking forward to the pool area. I have a question if you don't mind did you initiate contact with the consierge or did they contact you. I ask because my two DS's will be celebrating b-days and the CM ask me all kinds of question about fav characters, cake vs cupcakes etc.. We were previously staying at the BC, but when we upgraded to consierge they gave us a room (BC standard consierge rooms only sleep 4) it was a deluxe waterview room and it wasn't on the consierge floor. We didn't want to be on the 2nd floor and have to run up to the consierge level to get a soda or something so we changed to the YC. I'm really looking forward to our stay.

Off the subject - did you see the YC pictures on the site ourlaughingplace.com there are some cool moving clips and pictures of the consierge level.

Here is what happened with us. I sent an email to Amy and when I came home that day there was a package from the concierge with a sheet for our itinerary plan. I sent it in and Amy contacted me when she received it. I recently asked for info on golf and spa services and she fed ex'd a BUNCH of flyers to me. Concierge is the BEST! Look out for my wife (24) and myself (25) in the lounge with our parents. We'll probably be insane with glee

Oh I forgot, yup, I've checked out ourlaughingplace.com. Tourguidemike.com also has some nice info and reviews that are fun to read and make me excited. I need to make this darn counter go faster!

Thanks for the info I have Amy's e-mail so I'll contact her. Yes look for us you won't be able to miss us. DH, DS (15) and DS (9) are all redheads. I'm really looking forwrd to the trip this is our 3rd trip to WDW in 4 years. We are looking forward to relaxing this trip and just enjoying ourselves. No early morns out of bed by 7 shower, eat, do parks. Relax and enjoy will be the theme of this trip.
