thanks.

I'll start by saying that the IPO staff that services the BC/YC and BWI are the best on site. They are an extremely friendly and helpful group of ladies. They seem to be capable of making magic happen, so while a room view is only a request, I wouldn't doubt that they would have any problem taking care of that for you.

The rooms at the YC are very comfortable and we had terrific mousekeepers while staying there. Just my opinion, but I wasn't overly impressed with the lounge. It's quite small and the view looks out over the parking lot. Food options were pretty good. There were cold cereals, fruit, donuts, muffins for breakfast (7am-10:30am). From 11am-4pm we saw bowls of goldfish crackers, gummy worms, nuts, cookies and pudding packs. 5-7pm was the evening serving with sliced vegetables, cheese & crackers, pb&j uncrustable sandwiches, a hot soup and appetizer, plus wine and beer. 8-10pm they had out a tray of mini-pastries and cordials. The lounge is only open during the mentioned serving times. If you happened to show up at 4:15 for instance, you can ask a staff member to get you a soda or lemonade, but you'd need to take it back to your room. I'm a big lounge person, I really enjoy relaxing in there and reading or going through my park materials, so I'm sure this is something that, while it bothers my type of vacationing, it wouldn't be a big deal to someone else.

Personally, I really enjoyed the area, but the next time around, I think I will give the BWI a try instead.

We too did the Yacht Club concierge in May for 8 days and we had a wonderful trip. The concierge staff (Betty and Terri in the morning) was great, very helpful and seem to be happy to help us when we needed it. The IPO came in so handy it wasn't even funny, Alana was who helped us and she was the best!!! hands down. I never heard the word no from her....

You can't go wrong with the Yacht Club, it's going to be a great trip.

We visit the YC at least twice a year. Have stayed concierge before but no longer think it is worth the extra $$$. We have stayed 6 times on the 2nd floor and overlooked the wedding gazebo. It is pretty at any time of the year. My ds14 says I am a sucker for weddings and always cry even though I don't know the folks. Its all true :flower: We like to relax on our balcony for breakfast and have seen weddings as early as 9 a.m. out there! Have also seen a lot of late afternoon ones with the bride and groom leaving in Breathless!!!!! I love them all. Watch for the bunnies - they are all around.

Illinois Bride-to-Be,
I forgot to say that I think YC usually tries very hard to honor room requests. When we stayed on the 2nd floor and had the great gazebo views I would ask for 2nd floor near elevator - you can walk up 1 flight of steps from the lobby to the 2nd floor - but asking to be near the elevators gives you prime gazebo AND water view!!! Please pm or email me if you have any other YC questions. When is your wedding? Maybe we will be there?? During our last visit the resort was full because it was Memorial Day weekend. All kinds of folks came out on their balconies and applauded when there were weddings - we take bubble blowers now and send them in the air if we are lucky enough to see a wedding :sunny:
