I'll start by saying that the IPO staff that services the BC/YC and BWI are the best on site. They are an extremely friendly and helpful group of ladies. They seem to be capable of making magic happen, so while a room view is only a request, I wouldn't doubt that they would have any problem taking care of that for you.
The rooms at the YC are very comfortable and we had terrific mousekeepers while staying there. Just my opinion, but I wasn't overly impressed with the lounge. It's quite small and the view looks out over the parking lot. Food options were pretty good. There were cold cereals, fruit, donuts, muffins for breakfast (7am-10:30am). From 11am-4pm we saw bowls of goldfish crackers, gummy worms, nuts, cookies and pudding packs. 5-7pm was the evening serving with sliced vegetables, cheese & crackers, pb&j uncrustable sandwiches, a hot soup and appetizer, plus wine and beer. 8-10pm they had out a tray of mini-pastries and cordials. The lounge is only open during the mentioned serving times. If you happened to show up at 4:15 for instance, you can ask a staff member to get you a soda or lemonade, but you'd need to take it back to your room. I'm a big lounge person, I really enjoy relaxing in there and reading or going through my park materials, so I'm sure this is something that, while it bothers my type of vacationing, it wouldn't be a big deal to someone else.
Personally, I really enjoyed the area, but the next time around, I think I will give the BWI a try instead.
