Yay-waitlist came thru for October!Update-Post #18

It's only 6 weeks out and my waitlist finally came thru. We were going to have to spend our first night at BWV, then after 1 nite, move to BCV for the week. Tonight I checked and there it was. So if anyone's waitlisted for a standard view studio at BWV on 10/2, there's now one more available! I'm so glad now that we don't have to move after 1 nite.

That's great. We're still hoping for a waitlist to come through for the night before Labor Day so we don't have to move our last night. Not optimistic but still hoping

Good for you! We also had waitlist success for our October stay (from BW to VWL). It was a nice feeling knowing someone else was probably reaping the rewards of our switching away from a stnd view as well.

We had a 1 night waitlist come through for Oct 10 - 1 BR BWV - and we couldn't be happier! Now DH's DS and his family can drive in from Tampa and spend a night with us.

I'm going to check my waitlist for BC. We are in BW but I wanted to stay at Beach CLub. Wish me luck. Ours is for Oct 5, 6 and 7

Bah!

Been on the waitlist for a 2 bed at BCV for 9th and 10th October (got 11th to 15th) since January 14th a whopping NINE months in advance and still no joy. Just goes to show that even having home resort advantage is insufficient for F&W you need to get in there at 11 months on the dot!

Thought I might have got them at the 7 month shuffle but at the moment am stuck at OKW for those 2 nights before the move to BCV.

Heres hoping for success at the 30 day mark!

Still hoping my wait list for BC or BW will come thru for a 2 bedroom for 10/14 - 10/21. Been on the wait list since April.
Glad to hear the wait list works and people actually get what they want.

Congrats on getting your waitlist. It gives me hope that ours just might come through after all. We are still 47 days out. I am hoping for the shuffle as well or something bigger than that. Pixie wishes to you ....

Congrats!! I dont have the nerve to do the waitlist, we wanted to get BWV for the F&W fest, but they did not have 1 bedrooms, and I am not really a fan of doing 2 resorts in one stay. But - BWV to BCV is about as simple as it gets

I'm still waiting for Oct 15/16 at BCV. Booked there for 17/18 but have OKW for 15/16. I missed calling at 7 months (wanted to use the OKW points) by about a week, and have been on the waitlist ever since. Of course, it sounds like starting in 2010 the BCV rooms are all gone during F&W long before 7 months!

Hoping it comes through - just learned I'll be having surgery Oct 6th (2nd stage of breast reconstruction following breast cancer) so it'll be a lot easier if I don't have to move & risk being homeless for a day! I'll have serious lifting restrictions and may not be at 100% energy-wise but really don't want to give up any Food & Wine Festival time!

Not only are we waitlisted for Oct 10 (studio at SSR or OKW), I have phoned almost every day asking for either a studio or a 1 bedroom ANYWHERE for Oct 10 and there is ABSOLUTELY nothing anywhere.....!

I just called to check that my waitlisted night had been linked to the rest of my reservation. It hadn't! So although I was no longer changing resorts, I could have had to pack and change rooms if I hadn't called them to ask to link the reservations. Just thought I'd post this for anyone else with a waitlisted night.
