Just released, travel sized gels, lotions, makeups and water (drinks must be purchased after going thru security) are allowed in carry ons! yeah us!
Maria395712 said:yes but the travel size must fit into 1 , 1 quart bag per person

You can pack such thing in your checked luggage. There are no restrictions on liquids and gels in checked luggage. Just be sure to put them inside sealed bags inside your luggage, in case of leakage.Maria395712 said:you wouldn't need it during a flight .you need it at the hotel.

Mrs U had a set of nail polish and nail polish remover in her CHECKED luggage this trip. She had it in a carrying case, and then in a plastic ZIP bag. When we opened the luggage at the hotel, a strong smell of nail polish remover, then red stains all over the carrying case--which was OUT of the plastic bag. Then we found a standard printed note from the airline security saying that the luggage bag had been "searched".
In so doing they had not put the carrying case back in the plastic bag, and also didn't screw the tops of the nail polish and polish remover back on very tight. They came loose and spilled all over the carrying case.
Not a big deal--but irritating nonetheless.
Are you kidding -- my DD takes a suitcase for shoes and purses, 1 for clothes and the carry on for the really good stuff [make-up and hair products, and jewelry, that we say don't bring] anyone with teens and young ladies knows that.
