Yard Sales...and the Mouse

I got some GREAT finds at yard sales!!! I happened to stop by a house inwhich the family went to WDW a few times. I bought 2 adult and 1 child size mickey rain ponchos for a quarter each!!! I came home and got them folded nice and neat in sandwich size zip locks bag and labeled them all. Also a nice canvas bag that has black straps that said WDW and stitched on the front it says Walt Disney 1971..that was only $1.00!!!!
A few weeks ago I got a red backpack with mickey heads all over it for 50 cents and I think I'll let DS use it for the plane...but incase we want to carry a backpack at the park we will just take his stuff out and use this one to "fit right in". I also found DS 2 new T shirts for 50 cents each. Both in new condition...the lady said someone went and bought them back for her kiddos but were too small so they never even put them on. SCORE...two new shirts for while we are there. I have washed them and have them with my "Disney Stash" of little goodies to take with us and use as little surprises.
I was so excited about these finds. DH thinks I'm crazy....but I told him I read the same ponchos were 7-8 bucks in the parks he said he was impressed on my find. WOO HOO!!

That is exciting! The only find I have made at a yard sale has been a popcorn bucket. I got it for .10 and my little girl uses it for her color wonder markers. We always throw it in the "stuff to keep her busy in the car" bag for trips. I have made some good finds at the goodwill though.

I have found several Disney treasures at tag sales. I have decorated most of my computer room with tag sales finds.

I found 3 lanyards full of Disney trading pins at a garage sale and paid $20 for them! It started my pin obsession! I still have some that seemed extra special!
