I saw a segment on Today in NY last week about new travel sites. There's one site http://www.yapta.com/ that tracks airfare your watching and airfare you've already purchased. I've been tracking flights coming home on Sept. 3 to see if the prices drop. They haven't, so I went ahead and purchased them yesterday afternoon - 3 for me & DD & DS from MCO to ABE (stop-over in DC) and 1 for DH from MCO to DC for business. This morning I got an alert that his fare dropped $23 and it gave me instructions (phone # and all) to call United and get a travel voucher. It also tells you if you're entitled to a voucher or a refund!

I called, and got the voucher - no problem. The CS rep at United said I will have it in 7-10 days!

This site is great! I'm tracking our Thanksgiving trip now for price changes. There's a small download for the "Yapta Tagger", but when you go to the sites specified, you'll see the Tagger button on the flights and just click on it and it automatically tags it for you!

I just checked again, and our tickets went up to $259.80. Whew! Got them just in time!

Thanks! My parents told me about this site, and it slipped my mind. Thanks for reminding me!:wave2:

I downloaded it awhile ago but I never got alerts when my fare dropped. I don't know what I did wrong. I got rid of it yesterday since I was checking SWA daily anyway.

I wish SW flew out of Newark (NJ) or Allentown (PA) - I just don't want to drive 1 1/2 hours back home after a flight. We did it once and hated it.

I was a little skeptical about Yapta at first, but when I got the email this morning, I was so excited!

I have been using YAPTA since I read about it in the Wall Street Journal about a month ago. Apparently, Yapta stands for Your Amazing Personal Travel Assistant.

I guess I am good at getting fares at their nadir, since all of the prices on flights we've already bought are much higher than we paid. I am still using Kayak.com and checking the jetBlue site for newly released fares, but for tracking fares of already announced flights, Yapta can't be beat.
:thumbsup2
