I saw a segment on Today in NY last week about new travel sites. There's one site http://www.yapta.com/ that tracks airfare your watching and airfare you've already purchased. I've been tracking flights coming home on Sept. 3 to see if the prices drop. They haven't, so I went ahead and purchased them yesterday afternoon - 3 for me & DD & DS from MCO to ABE (stop-over in DC) and 1 for DH from MCO to DC for business. This morning I got an alert that his fare dropped $23 and it gave me instructions (phone # and all) to call United and get a travel voucher. It also tells you if you're entitled to a voucher or a refund!
I called, and got the voucher - no problem. The CS rep at United said I will have it in 7-10 days!
This site is great! I'm tracking our Thanksgiving trip now for price changes. There's a small download for the "Yapta Tagger", but when you go to the sites specified, you'll see the Tagger button on the flights and just click on it and it automatically tags it for you!
I just checked again, and our tickets went up to $259.80. Whew! Got them just in time!
