What's your favourite Christmas fragrance?

I just had "Christmas Eve" arrive yesterday and it smells wonderful. I might order "Spearmint Winterland" and "Christmas Day". I just love having them burning around the house :flower:

:wizard:

Is there a place on line where you can get them? I hear everyone talking about them I would like to give them a go :)

We usually stock-up whilst in the US, but I recently ran out so ordered from eBay. They are more expensive than they are in America, but the delivery is fast. :)

www.yankeecandleshop.co.uk is the official online store :)

I guess there are lots of US companies who will ship to England, but it will probably take a while for them to arrive (especially at this time of the year!).

Local garden centres are a good spotting place for Yankee Candles :)

I am burning Christmas Eve and Christmas cookie. I have brought Christmas Pudding and can't wait to burn that.

Wow :) I think I will burning a hole in my visa later :teeth:

I think I will get a couple of Jars?? How long do they last? would it be better if I just got tarts?

Here is how long they last....

CANDLE BURN TIMES:
Large Jar Candle – 110-150 hours
Medium Jar Candle – 65-90 hours
Small Jar Candle – 25-40 hours
Small Pillar – 35-45 hours
Large Pillar – 70-85 hours
Votives – Up to 15 hours in an appropriate holder
Scented tea lights – 4-6 hours
Wax Tarts – 8 hours each

Well worth your pennies :)

I like the large housewarmer jars - they burn for up to 150 hours so you get excellent value-for-money. The tarts are nice too but I find they generally only last the once and the fragrance does not seem to be as strong.

Frances - it is lovely not too sweet. I don't like sickly smells.

Wow I didn't think they would last that long :) One more silly question, can you smell the candle while its burning? as I have bought so many other candles and you cant really smell them :confused3

Oh yes, I think Frances will agree - they are the best candles I have ever brought. Would never by any others now.

Thanks Frances and Kaylee I will definately be ordering a couple :) :flower:

Absolutely. The fragrance is really strong and you can definitely smell the scent whilst the candle is burning :goodvibes

I have never heard of these. I usually burn Frankincense and Myrrh candles and use a lot of the room spary - all from M&S. Will have a look at the Yankee Candle site now.

Since they have Frankincense and Myrrh I have ordered the large housewarmer jar. How long do they tend to take to arrive?

The last time I ordered from the official site they took just under a week to arrive. :)

I have Christmas Cookie at the moment but bought a load of the different christmas ones when I was over in Florida in September. I have bought them from a couple of different ebay shops, and also from a garden centre.

Never tried ordering from the official site, might have a look now

You can also get them from the Christmas Shop if you have any of them near you, luckily I have one round the corner from our office!

Also, I bought two large jars of Christmas Cookie ones from TK Maxx at the weekend for 7.99 (normally 12.99) each, bargain  I've managed to find them a couple of times in TK Maxx!

They definately smell the whole room, if not the house, out - wonderful :teeth:

ITA - they're fantastic. Rhiannon bought me the Christmas cookie one last year and it smells divine and lasted all through the Christmas season last year and still some left. DH bought me a new one the other day - cranberry & peppermint - which is also nice but not as traditional as some. You can smell them as soon as you walk in the front door. Expensive but excellent. They've opened a new shop in Nottingham recently and DH bought me this the other day which I really love

I love Yankee candles. My christmas favourites are Christmas Pudding, Christmas Eve, Home for the Holidays, Christmas Wish and Snow Angels.

I have lots of Yankee Candles and just wouldn't have any other candles - they are that good.

:) If you pop over to the US community board they regularly do a Yankee Candle exhange I took part this year and it was great.

I am burning Happy Christmas at the moment, it smells lovely.
