We got a call today about our tumblers to see if they were ringing up correctly (ours were also still ringing up on sale from the weekend) so be forewarned, they might fix the system til you go back in!

Honestly I don't like either Spa Fresh or Be Thankful - but that's why there are so many - so there's something for everyone!

Yep...it was corrected. Me & my friend were going to go back in today and get like 20 of them each, but they said they were corrected. It's still an awesome deal though! I am trying to stay away..I may have to go back today. So tempting!!!!

A huge thank you to Tara from me...got my 6 large jars, some votives and... my house smells great!!! In Kingston, NY they had a list and asked for your name. The manager there said that they are limited to inviting 5 people each, so the store wasn't at all corwded when I went yesterday. Got a couple of new scents also, Sun & Sand, Harvest Wreath and Balsam and Cedar in addition to my Macintosh and Christmas Wreath.

Tara - A HUGE thank you coming from Chicago!! I went yesterday and am sorry it took me so long to report, but I am still in the midst of furbaby problems. I wound up with 20 large candles, 8 Reed Diffusers, 2 toppers, 4Car Jar Scent 3 packs and 1 Car Gel 3 pack & 1 candle clipper! I thought up this big game plan before I went in and decided to tell some family memebers that I would love Yankee Candles for X-Mas and by the way I can get them super cheap right now and choose my own scents, while saving you a trip all the way to YC! I really can not thank you enough for this - as I told you things have been rough here and this was a super huge pick me up. Even though I got a little carried away...

The manager Tiffany told me that I should feel free to come in to any events they are having. I wonder if this means they will keep my name on file? I would definitely love that. I just keep thinking I would be embarrassed to go in and they don't remember me, or she has left or something. Maybe I should of asked her for more details but did not know how to go about doing so. But if you would please keep me in mind in the future - I would be so grateful!

My store would only let you use the F&F sale if you were invited by someone in the store. Tara is there any e-mail list from YC that they send out similar coupons to customers other than the mailing list I subscribed to from the YC site.

I might try the coupon code I saw on another thread.

Tara I also have to shout out a big Thank You! This was sooooooooo nice of you. I went to our mall and asked if I could use the F&F discount and they asked who I knew and I gave them the info you had given me and the rest is history..... A few new scents I bought were Farmers Market, Red berry and cedar, and Macintosh Spice, I can't wait to try them. I also bought a bunch of my old favorites along with the Halloween swirl "Pumpkin Patch" that I found out I liked too late last fall and they were all sold out. Thanks again!

Whew we were busy again today. I can't remember all the questions comments I needed to address - someone asked about getting any scent now & exchanging it later when the holiday scents come in - absolutely you can do this. We don't encourage it, or else we'd have 200 people showing up on the 1st day the holiday scents are out wanting to do an exchange, but every now & then is ok. Yankee policy is a jar for a jar - if you bring one in you don't like, you can walk out with any other scent in the same size.

YES all large jars are BOGO free through Sunday online - and if you have a coupon you can use it in the stores. We had a few coupons for that today that people got online - not sure if it's on the Yankee website or if the company sent an email with it in. I didn't get an email with that coupon.

The Friends & Family sale happens once or twice a year. Not sure where that store got info that it would happen again before Christmas, I've seen nothing to that effect. But I know where to come to announce it if they do! Normally they do one in spring & one in fall.

SSssssshhhhhhhh - don't let DH hear you say that!Honestly, I have been told that I should apply several times by staff at my "local" store over the years. The problem is that the closest store is about 1 1/2 hours away and in traffic that ride could get much longer. I can't justify the gas and travel time for the pay - believe me I would love too! Since you already think I'm goofy I won't dare tell you how many YC and YC tarts we already have scattered through the house. But, seriously this was awesome, it helped me get some X -Mas gifts that I would not of been able to afford and it also helped me get some gifts for myself that I will really love and can't wait to open without putting cash out of my pocket. I am so glad to hear that you will keep us posted in the future too!

Tara, when I was in the store I was given two sheets of Mix-o-logy scents I believe they were called. On the bottom it said Autumn edition. These are awesome and I can't wait to try some of them out! They also had about three mixed for customers to try next to the display. Do you know if they also had a summer and or spring edition? If so, do you think there is a way to get a hold of a copy? Possibly by contacting customer service or something? I was not sure if these were a local creation or if all YC stores were participating.

OOO Tart Mixology! I'm a fan! Yes we have a new "edition" whenever new scents come out. Not sure if this is a corporate thing or just regional - I think I have our older ones saved on the hard drive at work - I will check tomorrow when I'm in & if they're there, I will email them to myself & then figure out how to get them to you!

You are the best! The gal I spoke to said that they were designed for use with the tarts but that by burning multiple jars you could get the same effect and then I started thinking about that little layer of wax you are not supposed to burn on the bottom of the jars and how I might be able to create some mixology... Thank you!

Oh I have a special area to keep the "junk" wax in for mixology - I always scrape that bottom layer out (1/2 to 1 inch of wax will always remain in the jar - that's normal - or else your wick would burn down to the glass & shatter it). I love the people that bring thier jar back, burned all they way down to that layer (the wick isn't even there at that point - just the metal wick holder) - and they demand a new jar because "it didn't burn right at the end & it's a rip off." Some versions of the jars actually say not safe to burn within 1/2" or 1" of glass bottom.

I think I will mix Cinnamon & Sugar with Black Cherry tomorrow - smells like warm cherry pie....mmmm....but it's supposed to be almost 80 degrees here - maybe I'll stick with Coconut Bay and Island Guava.....or Island Guava and Sweet Strawberry....mmmmm......

I picked up my 6 lg jars last night. I had my baby in tow, and the girls were great walking me to the car and helping me in the store.

I picked out all new smells and broke away from my favorites. I got Cinnamon & Sugar, Be Thankful, Frosted Pumpkin, Mandarin Cranberry, Eggnog, and Farmers Market. I can't wait to burn one today...which one to pick!

Thank you, Tara for sharing this sale with all of us! Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the sale as something came up. But I will keep my fingers crossed for the next one! I think DH was relieved that I couldn't go as just last week I spent almost $100 on the tart and votive sale!

Hey Tara! THANKS SO MUCH! You are so sweet to share this with us. I called my local store on Wednesday before the sale to verify I could use the info you gave, and they were cool with it. I went in yesterday and it was so easy. Another person from this board had been in already, so they were prepared for me. They asked how you knew so many people from this area, so I just smiled and said I used to live in PA. Oh well, I wasn't too far off, I did live in SC. Anyways, I bought 12 large cylinders, 4 small ones and a bunch of tea lights, some room sprays, and I bought one lip gloss. That lip gloss smells awesome. My new favorite scent is Autumn Fruit. I also had to buy some old favorites like lilac, sweet strawberry, macintosh, and balsam and cedar. I also bought Autumn Wreath which I loved too. Thanks again, only wish you could have gotten credit somehow for all these sales!! You are an angel!
