Glad this worked for so many of you! Nice to meet you over the phone Kim & Dawn!! If the number of calls I received today is any indication of the number of you that got to shop then woo hoo!! I got to chat with some really nice Yankee Candle employees & Dis-ers as well. My Assistant Manager refused to answer the phone after about the 1st 4 calls - since all the calls were for me anyway! I had a lot of fun in the store today. Didn't meet any DIS-ers, but helped a lot of people save some $$$.

I called my local store and asked if F&F was today - they asked who I knew, I told Angie (the store manager) I had read about it - she invited me to be her personal guest!

DH and I are going to meet there after work to pick up Christmas presents and some "smell good" for our home - I am so excited - I think DH is excited, too! (Hmm - wonder what candles equate to for him....)

My office thanks you, this is why I went today to the sale!! We have a sign/print shop and when the machines run, P-U on the ink smell! Well, not when we have a yankee going! it masks the smell and customers actually compliment on how good the shop smells!!!

I ended up with 12 large jars, 6 small ones and a bunch of electric refills! @ $230 worth of loot back into the economy!!! We go through @ a jar every week and a half or so.......The employee Janice at my store was awesome, she said I was her 1st F & F of the day & called your store to verify you knew me!

This was an awesome thing you did for us savers, even if we spent a bit too much today, but, we saved a bundle!!! Thanks Again!!!

Tara - Thank you so much for the kindness extended to others. I saved $130 and spent quite a bit but mostly they will be Christmas gifts so I will not feel too bad!

I called ahead and the gentleman told me to come on in. I brought Tara's name, store and contact number with me on the flier.

When I got there I verified I would be eligible. Had to check with the manager. The manager spent quite a bit of time verifying then asked to see my ID. Ok? I believe the manager contacted Tara's store, I can't imagine how many calls that store received today.

After it was decided I was all set, I was given great service and received help carrying all 13 large jars out to my car.

I told the salesgirl that Tara was my friend from college and she had emailed the flyer to me, but was not sure if I could use it in another state (thank goodness my nose did not grow like Pinnochio!). The manager said it was fine and then added me to their list of friends and family, so I will be called when they have special sales!!!! Somehow we started talking about addictions, and I mentioned that aside from YC I am also a pampered chef addict, so I started selling it, and perhaps I should work there to supply that need...anyway, they offered me a chance to do a showcase at the store near the holidays.

So Tara, not only did I score a heck of a deal on YC, I also have a potential income show.....can I thank you enough? You rock!!

kateo3o5 that's awesome! We do have parties in the store sometimes & invite local consultants to come set up their stuff. I also sell Tastefully Simple so I set up in our store for these events. I've never sold a lot of cash & carry but it's great for exposure & getting your name out there.

I liked the Spa Fresh and Be Thankful! I bought one for me, one for gifts, one for me one for gifts and so on. AND the small tumbers were ringing up as still on the LAbor Day sale...so 2 for $12 and then 50% off that. So each candle was $3/each. I think I've decided to go back tomorrow and get some more of those!

Just to recap and share my "story", I got your flyer successfully earlier in the week, printed it and luckily wrote your info on it. I called my store ahead of time (as you suggested) and mentioned the sale to them. The manager said it was fine and to just bring the flyer with me. She said she might not be in but she would write it down for the other managers to see. I thought easy enough! I go in the store, luckily it's not crowded and I mention to the sales associate that I had called a few days prior about the sale and gave the manager's name I spoke to, yada, yada, yada...She wasn't aware of what to do so the other sales associate said they needed to call you. I know you offered to do this for us but I was really thinking it was all set. I was up near the front of the store and I heard her call you and you answered! I heard her say, "Tara hi, I'm calling from the xx store and your friend Heather is here. Ok, sounds great". Too funny! You must have been swamped with calls since it sounds like every store ended up calling you. I so wish there was a way you could have benefited from this! I can't thank you enough for your kindness and I know this week has been hectic for you to say the least! Again, I sincerely thank you and I ended up saving $140 after I spent $138! I got lots of Xmas gifts and some items for me too!

I really liked Pomegranate Fruit, Napa Harvest, and Autumn Fruit!

Hahaha I shop like that but instead I go "one for a gift, TWO for me, one for s gift, TWO for me...."



We got a call today about our tumblers to see if they were ringing up correctly (ours were also still ringing up on sale from the weekend) so be forewarned, they might fix the system til you go back in!

Honestly I don't like either Spa Fresh or Be Thankful - but that's why there are so many - so there's something for everyone!

Along with Macintosh, Granny Smith, Harvest, Sweet Strawberry, Autumn Wreath, Christmas Eve, Blueberry Scone, Greek Fig & Black Currant, Island Guava, Vanilla Lime, Roasted Coffee, Mandarin Cranberry, Cranberry Chutney, Cinnamon & Sugar, Rhubarb Plum...okay serisously I need to stop now....
