I have a ressie at Yak & Yeti @ 4:00PM and Tusker House @5:05PM on the same day. I'm looking to cancel one of them but don't know which one!!

Which would you guys pick based on the time/dining reviews??

I prefer Yak & Yeti for dinner. They have a really big menu with tons of options! Yak & Yeti is always one of my must dos.

I've only had breakfast at Tusker House (back when it was a buffet) and it's my fave Character meal. But now with the limited menu, it just doesn't seem as worth it in my opinion.

Yak & Yeti. We've done both and Tusker House was a one and done. Food was just not that great. But to each their own.

While I haven’t been to Tusker since I was a child, we were very underwhelmed by yak and yeti. Service was great, food was cooked properly, but it was very underwhelming.

I’d also bring a jacket as I got very cold to the point my teeth were chattering.

I find Tusker House icky - too much weird coconut curry blech fusion African stewed randomness with couscous. It's weird when curry dishes don't taste like much.

I love Yak & Yeti, prefer their one curry dish - Chicken Tikka Masala. Wonderful alcoholic slushy - the Yak Attack. Love the pot stickers too. DH and the kids love the Korean Beef.

I liked Tusker House better than Yak & Yeti. I thought Y&Y was the same Americanized Chinese food you'd find at a local restaurant. I was super unimpressed after seeing people here talk it up so much.

Yak n Yeti. Great food choices, love the atmosphere and always get good service!

That's funny you mentioned that. We ate lunch at Yak & Yeti a couple of weeks ago and I remember noting it was a little chilly - not uncomfortable, but the only restaurant I remember feeling a bit chilly. I enjoyed the Korean BBQ ribs. I thought they were great. We have given up on Tusker House after eating there a few times. We always feel rushed and got tired of the same buffet choices.

Y&Y is a must-do for us most trips - we find the food, service, and selection very good. We enjoy TH for breakfast, but not dinner as much.

I'm having second thoughts about our Tusker House reservation. I hadn't realised it wasn't back to being the buffet - and reading around, it looks like the character experience there is pretty dismal if you're not lucky enough to be in the front row of tables. I'm going to see if I can get Tiffins or Yak and Yeti instead; I honestly think the kids will be happier with no characters than they would with characters frustratingly far off in the distance.

We ate at Yak N Yeti yesterday. I have to say it was the least favorite meal of our trip. Our service wasn’t good and the food was just ok. It felt more like Applebee’s type of food for us. Tusker House was great before the pandemic, but I haven’t been back since they changed the menu.

When Tusker House goes back to its normal buffet, I would HIGHLY recommend them for folks who like a tad bit of adventure with their dining. However, right now with their limited menu, it would not be a big draw for me.

Yak and Yeti is just mediocre Americanized food, IMO. It’s not bad, it’s just an average restaurant. I personally have had bad service there twice as a solo diner, and both times my observation my poor service was because I was solo, and not going to be a huge tip. So, groups may have better service there. I do think their QS dining options are good, but it’s tough to compete with Satuli’s and Flame Tree.

Food wise, Yak & Yeti......

......But we go to Tusker House when characters are available.
