Is this open? I am trying to get a reservation for our upcoming mid December trip and nothing is available for any of our days for anytime of day. Is it just booked up or is it closed?
TIA

Diane

It's open. Probably booked. If you have a Landry's card you can get priority seating.

Join the Landry Club. The restaurant is owned by Landry.

When we did, it was $25 to join. You get a $25 credit for that. I think you get a $25 credit each year on your birthday as well.

With the card, you can get in without a reservation. It works at all Landry restaurants, which includes Trex, Rainforest, Bubba Gump Shrimp, and about 75 others...

It is open but it does take a while to get the reservation you want. If you can be flexible I’d recommend it.
Also bring a jacket as the AC was pumped up to level 50000 and yours truly was shivering and had chattering teeth.

You guys rock. I’m joining Landry’s now. So we can show the card and get in without reservations? Thank you so much.

So far there’s no time available for any of our 5 days there. Hopefully the card gets us in.

I know everyone's experience is different - but for what it's worth: when I was planning my Sept trip, Y&Y was the only restaurant for which I really had a hard time getting an ADR. I used a reservation tracker and one popped up the week I traveled (left on a Tuesday, ADR was for Friday). That said, I had the Landry's SC card and wasn't worried - but I did get the sense that they just didn't have a ton of openings.

The card definitely works (I too worried that it might be a pixie dust type of thing). I originally had an ADR for something like 3:45 (I was aiming for an early dinner before going to Boo Bash for the night). I ended up being exhausted (I may have dozed off during the Navi River Journey, lol) but really wanted to eat at Y&Y (in part because I'm cheap, er frugal, and had an expiring birthday credit from Landry's SC). So, I decided to leave DAK early to get some rest before BB and decided to stop by Y&Y to see if they could get me in early and/or cancel my ADR without the no-show fee. There was a moderate walk-up wait (I overheard 45-60 min for some tables of 3-6). They ended up cancelling my ADR and walking me in with the LSC (although after that happened, it sort of messed up the system and the manager discouraged the CM from doing that, showing a way they could move up the ADR) and I waited 5 minutes at most (table of 1, fwiw).

We have reservations for 12/12 and it will be our first time. Really looking forward to it and have already been checking out the menu.

You still need reservations but they have a different batch of reservations outside of the MDE ADRs. If you can’t get either, having the LSC will get you priority in the walk-up/standby list. The only thing is more people know it so the line for LSC members can mean a sizeable wait.
