We have never been to Yak and Yeti, but the menu looks really good. What can you guys tell me? Worth the TS? Thanks!

I did not love it on my last trip. With that said, I am going to give it another chance on our next trip. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't fantastic either. I did enjoy the apps (fried green beans and pot stickers) and LOVED the dessert (fried wontons!!! SO good and why I am going back!), the entrée was just meh.

It reminded me very much of a T.G.I.F. If you like that type of food, with a more asian flare then you will like it!

DH loved it. In his top 3 meals from our last trip. It wasn't my favorite, but not because I thought it was bad, it was really good. I just liked other things better. I will say that the fried won ton dessert was in my top three desserts :lovestruc.

HTH

we loved it but we didn't go to ak last trip. I find at disney one trip we will love resturant X and the next time restaraunt X will be not very good.

Also, I see that on the Dis site, Yak and Yeti is listed as a CS, but I thought it was TS. Are there two?

We were there last summer and thought the apps were very good, as was the wonton dessert, BUT we did not like a single entree we had . . . steak and shrimp (grizzy steak and greasy shrimp), ribs (also grizzly and greasy) and the mahi mahi (fishy).

It may have just been an off day there, but we will not go back there any time soon. :sad2:

Yak and Yeti has both counter and table service. We've never had the counter service meal, but I can tell you that the table service meal we had was among the top few of our DxDP trip. We have another ressie for it this time around; hopefully we'll be 2 for 2!

I agree with you! We tried Yak and Yeti with trepidation because it gets so many bad or mediocre reviews here on the DIS.

It was one of our favorites! The flavors are pretty authentic Middle Eastern and the food was very good. (Surprising for a TS in a park!)

However, overall, my favorites tend to be restaurants that get panned here and my least favorites are the beloved restaurants here. So if you love most of what everyone else loves, maybe take my recommendation with a grain of salt. :goodvibes

The TS is far superior to the CS, which we also like. This is a great place to watch the ak parade and eat at the same time. Our fav is the srimp and skirt steak, and the fried wonton dessert is woth the trip!

We liked it a lot last trip. My sweet & sour chicken was sooo good. They could give you more rice though. And like the PP said, definitely get the fried wontons! nyum, nyum, nyum!

We ate there in November and really liked it. I had the sweet and sour chicken (or honey chicken?) and it was really good. It was crispy but didn't have a lot of breading and the sauce was great! My dd had the lo mein kids meal and she really enjoyed it. We didn't get any appetizers or deserts. We had great service and were in and out pretty quickly and this was Thanksgiving week.
We have reservations for Feb. 17th and are on the DxDP, so I am looking forward to trying an appetizer and the won ton desert.

Don't forget the Yak Attack (if you drink alcohol)!

I think I'm going to go with the honey chicken this time around. And, of course, the wontons. They're absolutely delicious!

Apps and dessert were great, main entree was so/so. It was very expensive for what you got, we were not overly impressed.

We tried it our first time in December. We were on Deluxe dining & had an extra credit so we decided to give it a try. We loved it! It is on our repeat list for sure!

Had the lettuce tacos for & they were awesome. It is huge! I was really too full to eat all the ribs we got. However, I ate every single bite of the Mango pie! Wow! It was so so good.

Try it. Definitely worth the TS. We loved it. We had syeak and shrimp, beef and broccoli, ribs and kobe burger. Loved everything and would go back again.

I've been twice and had great meals each time. I really enjoyed the lo mein (one of my favorite foods in general), and the honey chicken is also excellent. My favorite dessert is actually the sorbet trio, which Iwould highly recommend. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but we also use the dining plan so it doesn't quite matter for us.

Overall, I say go for it!

Yak&Yeti is in my top 3. We've eaten here 3/3 trips and it is always delicious. I have the steak and shrimp every time.

I had to chime in here! My family and I love Y&Y! Right down to my picky eater, all our choices were fantastic. Ribs, chicken, espescially the Emporer's Margharita and fried won-tons with ice cream:thumbsup2 delish! We always use the dining plan and out of all our restaurant choices we all agreed yak was top choice! Try it and have fun!:goodvibes
