I was wondering if anyone had a good dining experience here? I went in Dec '10 and ate here one night with my hubby and a good friend. Both my meal and my friends meal was AWFUL! I ordered the Braised Beef Ravioli and it was so salty that I couldn't even eat it. My friend ordered the Filet medium well and it came back RED, seriously I like Medium rare and I wouldn't even eat this and she said it was cold in the middle . I am so upset by our experience, because I have heard people rave about this place. I am going to the World again in March and we are taking my in-laws, I really wanted to try Yachtsman again, but my hubby is against it. I feel that maybe having an off night?? What are your thoughts?

Our only meal here was GREAT. DH and I got steaks and they were both cooked perfectly, super tender and very tasty. Our sides were served hot, the service was some of the best of the trip, the restaurant was very quiet (we went at 8) and all in all it was one of the best meals we had. I will be returning in February again and hope to have a similar experience.

I'm always torn about giving restaurants a second chance. On one hand, they could be having an off night---on the other there are so many places to try, I always feel like I shouldn't "waste" a meal somewhere I was disappointed at before. Last trip we had the worst meal of our trip at Kouzzina and we are planning to go there again this trip. If itt's bad again, it will probably be a long while until we return.

Are you on the DDP? If you aren't and want a good steakhouse, try Shula's at the Dolphin. If you are and you have some steak eaters in your group, Flying fish Cafe has an unbelievable NY strip and the best seafood dishes as well. It's our favorite Disney restaurant and we eat here every trip.

NOTE: The Yachtsman has a decent selection of steaks for the
carnivores among us. The steaks are tasty, but the presentation
does not measure to the high prices. If you want to graze and
don't care about how the meal looks, this can be the place. If you
want quality steaks, presentation and ambiance, try Shula's.

Well--the one was just an undercooked steak and that's easily fixed--just as soon as they have you cut into the steak, you send it back to be done better.

As Scupper has said, YSH is pretty good. But if GREAT steak is waht you want, then try Shula's.

Thanks for the feedback! We plan on eating at Kouzzina and Flying Fish next time, so we shall see what happens! My hubby and I are doing DxDp this next trip, so we get to eat at a lot of signatures.

My friend did send her steak back, so they did fix it. I think she was annoyed because the waiter didn't wait for her to cut into the steak, so we had to wait for him to come back... I don't know if I will try Yachtsman this time around, but maybe again in the future.
