I have Narcoosees booked for last dinner but with all of the so so reviews, I'm thinking of switching to Yachtsman. Has anyone ever had their Beef Wellington?

Thanks :)

DonaldDoleWhip just did two amazing reviews of the Yachtsman on the dining review board and one of them (June) was of the Wellington....

I would much rather got to YM over Narcoossees

Honestly, while Narcoossee's is still a good restaurant, I think it's the weakest of Disney's signatures. Of the two, I would choose the Yachtsman Steakhouse. I have not had the Wellington, but everything we did have was wonderful. We were having a celebratory meal with another couple and were able to try a few different appetizers and entrées. All were delicious. In particular, the seasonal salad I had as my appetizer was outstanding.

I have dined twice at both and the YM is my favorite out of the two. The filet is soooo go there.

I was a big Narcoosee's fan, but now I'm going more away from it. Unless you are going there looking for a full lobster (Narcoosee's is the only place on the DDP that offers this), then you will get just as good if not a better meal at any of the other signatures.

Never dined at Narcoossee's so I can't provide any insight there.

But I can tell you that DW and I ate ate Yachtman's a few years ago for our anniversary. Not worth it in our opinion. The steak was so so and the atmosphere - even for 9PM at night - was loud and boisterous. Not what I woudl consider a good anniversary meal.
We had a better experience at le Celier

We did both 2 months ago and I have to say Yatchman was way better then Narcossees. Dh ahd filet mignon at both and Yatchman was clearly better. \The lobster at Narcossess was tough and very chewy. We originally had 2 reservation at Narcossees and we ended up cancelling one of them to return to Yatchman.

We loved Narcoosees but thought the Yachtsman was so-so. I wouldn't go to Narcoosees for the Maine lobster - I think they overcook it and that is why it comes out tough. But the filet was pretty awesome according to my daughter! And we liked the atmosphere much better at Narcoosees.

I like both, but as of right now I would say Yachtsman has much better food.

Here's my review of Yachtsman that includes the Wellington (wouldn't recommend it).

Here's my more recent review from a few days ago. We had an absolutely amazing meal at Yachtsman. The review is divided into three parts: appetizers, entrees, desserts.

And here's my most recent Narcoossee's review from May. It was still a very good meal (I really enjoyed the crab-crusted flounder), but overall I found Yachtsman to be more outstanding.

Thanks all and Donald I read your review about the Wellington and it didn't look too good. I will also have my two kids with me and it seems as though Narcoosees has a nicer atmosphere, so I think I'm gonna go with that. I also have a booked a bunch of places for steak (Cali Grill, Le Cellier, Flying Fish, Jiko and Brown Derby.

We dined at Yachtsman and Narcoosssees for the first time on our last trip. I thought the food was way better at Narcoossees. Maybe it was an off night. We always order our steakd med- med rare. They seemed like they tried to cook them too fast or something. The outside 1/4 in of the steak was well done and the inside was rare. We weren't impressed. I would give it another shot at some time to see if they were just off that night.
Our entire meal including the service at Narcoosses was great, friendly and un pretentious.

I must be in the minority here but I think that the steak at Narcoossee's is much better than what I have had at Yachtsman - and I have eaten at both restaurants on the same trip more than once. Yachtsman I always get the filet, it is ok but the one at Narcoossee's is always more tender to me.

Yachtsman hands down. DH and I make a point to eat there at least once a trip. The service is incredible.
