Yachtsman Steakhouse - dining plan question

My husband and I have an ADR for 10/2 to celebrate our 21st anniversary. I would like to know if they offer any flexibility in swapping dessert for appetizers? I also w ould love to know about your opinion of this restaurant.

You cannot swap appetizers for dessert anywhere on the dining plan.

Its one of our favorite restaurants. We've celebrated our anniversary there - and we do prefer appetizers over desserts, but the dining plan has never allowed the swap, we do tend to pay out of pocket for things - for instance I'll look at menus and prices at all ears, then I may decide to pay out of pocket for the whole meal
(or maybe pay out of pocket at another place, to save a TS for this if we're on free dining for instance)

I truly feel for us Yachtsman is a must do!

I must have read an old post that mentioned they were able to swap a dessert for a cheese plate.

I must have read an old post that mentioned they were able to swap a dessert for a cheese plate.

At some signatures you can do this...at California Grill, a cheese platter is listed on the dessert menu. On the regular DDP, you can get it as dessert but you can't get it brought out before your meal.

Yachtsman doesn't list cheese on their dessert menu.
