For a great steak, do you recommend the Yachtsman or LeCellier or should we go to both (DH and I love steak!). We will be doing the dining plan, so I know Yachtsman is 2 credits. It sound like it is worth it, but with all the rave reviews I've been reading for LeCellier, I'm wondering if I should go there instead. Or are they both worth hitting? What is your experience? PLease share!

I too am a great steak lover ... believe it or not I thought the best steak I had at the world was at the Brown Derby! We did the Fantasmic package and couldn't have been happier!!! IMHO :-)

I went to Le Cellier once and thought it was good and figured I would go back again. Then I went to YSH...3 times now in a year and a half! I would have a hard time going back to Le Cellier after eating at YSH. It wasnt bad, by any means, but YSH blew it out of the water, IMO. My mom made her first visit to YSH last week and she agreed it lived up the hype I had been giving it. ;) It was the best meal of our trip. :goodvibes

DH and I love LeCellier...so much so that we are eating there twice on our anniversary trip in May.

I've eaten at all the great steak places at WDW, and the best, IMHO, by far, is Shula's at the Dolphin.

WE love both!!!

On Christmas Day (Evening) we are dining at YSH and on New Years Day (Evening) we are dining at LeCellier!!! I think that you would enjoy both!!!

We had dinner at Le Cellier while we were there in mid-October and it was delicious for us, two big steak lovers!!!

LeCellier if it is a choice between the two you wanted info on. Shula's if you want the best steak on property.

We much prefer Yachtsman to Le Cellier because of service. Le Cellier has gotten really busy lately and they always seem to have this huge backup of customers waiting for long periods of time past their ADR. Unlike Yachtsman we were seated immediately.

We enjoy both, but Yachtsman is better, IMHO. It is quieter, has better service and you are never rushed.
Another place to get a great steak is at Flying Fish.

Yachtsman all the way>>>>> better service, better food, better atmosphere.
LeCellier is okay, imho nothing to rave about.

You will be much happier at yachtsman

We did both over Thanksgiving. They were both wonderful! Le Cellier was #1 for half of our group, The Yachtsman was #1 for the other half... I loved them both but really loved the Yachtsman! Even though it was 2 credits it was SOOOO worth it!

After hearing all of the reviews, I think we'll hit both of them! Can you use the dining plan at Shula's? That would factor in to my decision to eat there. Thanks!

We were there last week and did both. We had lunch @ LeCellier our first day and LOVED it. DH and I had a date night @ Yachtsman later in the week and loved that as well. Both were great deals on the dining plan and we would not hesitate to do both again.

LeCellier was bussier but the service was good and atmosphere was nice. Yachtsman had fantastic service and atmosphere was nice as well. DH commented a few minutes after we were seated that he bet the service would be great. I asked why and he said "look around, there are no young kid servers...these are professionals." :)

We had fantastic meals at both. Really wonderful.

We ate at Yaghtsman, it was nice, but like Shulas much better. And if you really really want to splurge on a FANTASTIC steak dinner OP try Ruth Chris'. Not a place like it!!!

That is funny you say that. 2 out of the 3 times I have eaten at YSH, I have had younger (20s) servers. Service was still great! :goodvibes

YSH and Le Cellier are two very different experiences. Both are good, although my experience has been that Le Cellier is better at preparing steak the way it was ordered the first time. (Maybe YSH has improved.) If you enjoy steak, I would do both, just to experience the difference. The service at both is usually very good, although YSH service always seemed somewhat better than Le Cellier.

I don't think Shulas is a Dining Plan restaurant...at least according to disneyworld.com

Too bad- my boyfriend is a huge steak lover, and he'd probably love it- but we're going on the dining plan and I don't think I'd want to pay out of pocket on this trip for an entire meal....We're going to Yachtsman on our next trip- everyone I have talked to has said Le Cellier is just ok, nothing fabulous.
