Yacht Club to the Poly?

Taxi would be the easiest. Or you could take the boat or walk to HS then a bus to the poly.

:drive:good luck

Using Disney transportation, I'd take a bus from YC to the MK then boat or monorail to the Poly.

Yes, boat/walk to DHS, then bus to Poly will work. Or, you could take a bus from YC to MK, then take the boat or monorail to Poly. It all depends on what scenery you want to see on the way over. :)

Neither will be quick, though. I would leave at least an hour each way on DIsney transportation. A cab would be about 10 minutes, and run $10-$15 plus tip.

Another slow, but scenic option is to walk through World Showcase to Epcot's monorail to the TTC. It's a short walk from TTC to Poly

Ok, I also might want to state that it will be for a 8 am breakfast at Kona. I am leaning to the bus to MK and then get on the resort monorail. Will the bus to MK take us to the MK or TTC or where?

It will take you to the MK. Plan on a crowded bus at that time of the morning.

I don't want to sleep when I am at Disney!! Anyway, I am going to be utilizing cab service a few times while we are there, but don't want to do it much more than that. I have already paid for transportation in my hotel charge I don't want to pay for it more and more.

So if I take a bus to the MK, I will have to walk to the Poly or to the TCC and then go to the Poly? I think at my other hotel stays the bus took us to the TCC, or I may be wrong?

Or can I walk to the Epcot monorail and then transfer to the TCC to get to the Poly?

The bus to MK will take you to the MK bus depot, not TTC. You'll either board the resort monorail line at the MK monorail station, or board a boat to Poly by the resort launches.

Walking to the Epcot monorail is not an option at that time, you need to enter Epcot to get to the monorail and the park won't be open.

Since this is around park opening time and the transportation system will be packed, I'm going to revise my time estimate. I would assume 90 minutes.

Ok I am sooooo confused. Are you telling me then taking a resort bus from the Yacht Club to just the MK first thing in the morning will take an hour? Really? Then another 30 minutes to the Poly? We have done this before at other resorts, ASSports, POR, CBR, (taken a bus to MK then got onto the monorail to the Poly) and I know we got there before 60 minutes. So this kinda surprises me to say the least. Just wasn't real sure about doing this from the Yacht Club. Maybe I need to rethink my plans a bit.:rotfl:

You should be able to do it in under an hour...but if you happen to just miss a bus or something, it could be longer. If you only have to wait 5 minutes for a bus, then 10 minutes to MK, then walk to monorail station or boat dock (another 5 minutes) and then transport to Poly, you are looking at about 40 minutes. It all depends on how you hit the transportation, just like with any circumstance.

So the Yacht Club bus picks up at the Beach Club as well and do they pick up at the Swalphin as well. What about the Boardwalk? If they do make that many stops in the morning I might reconsider.

And what time do the busses start running in the morning? I was thinking it was 7 am. If we hit a bus around 7 or 7:15, we should be good to go I would think. But I will be at that bus stop at 7!:thumbsup2 Oh, and thanks for all your input.

The MK bus only picks up at BC....buses should be running at 7 am. :goodvibes

Sometimes it's quick and sometimes it does take quite a bit of time, just depends on how busy it is and the route of the buses. Bus service at the BC/YC varies, IMO. Some people report the buses only share between the BC & YC, while others report the buses share among all 5 resorts. If the buses are shared among all of the resorts, it can (and will) take quite a bit of extra time. As others have said, I would allow at least an hour for taking a bus from YC to MK and then taking the monorail over to the Poly.
