Will be arriving this Saturday morning for an 7 day stay at the YC. Have never stayed concierge at Disney before have stayed at other hotels concierge W Hotels and ritz etc. How does YC compare? We are looking forward because all of our trips have been great and no matter what hotel we stay we always compare it to the Disney Hotels. :paw:

I have enjoyed the services at each of those properties except for the Animal Kingdom and for me the vote has to be for the Yacht Club. The IPO office is one fo the best on the WDW property, the staff was tops, never heard the word no and they really made me feel as if they really were interested in my needs. (hard to find that these days)

The lounge was always stocked nicely and the evening cocktails were a perfect way to end the day. I asked for and received 2 large bottles of water a day, I drink alot of water.. no problem at all and they always had plenty of sodas and coffee during the day.

If you are staying at the Yacht Club.. contact the IPO office and ask for Alana... what a sweetheart and she works hard to make your vacation one to remember. Betty and Terri on the concierge desk in the mornings are wonderful and know their stuff.

Each concierge floor at the deluxe resorts offer just about the same services as the others. I guess it just depends on how well you connect with the staff on duty and if the staff is about to take care of your requests. Like I said, I never heard.. "I can't do that", or "NO" and to me that means alot.

You can't go wrong with any of the choices you gave up to vote on... Have a great vacation!

we've stayed at all of the WDW concierges...as the other poster said, they're all good, and preferences are a matter of personal taste....
of the 4 you list, we most like the GF Royal Palm Club concierge (there is also the sugar loaf concierge there, which is nice, but not as nice as RPC)...

but i can't tell you exactly why i like the GF best.....i don't know why, but i do...

the AKL has the best food of the 4, and the nicest concierge lounge...

I definitely prefer the YC to the BC (our least favorite concierge)....

I have not stayed in the W or Ritz concierge levels, but from quite a few DIS'ers, the Disney concierge levels just don't compare. Basically what you'll find at the YC is an excellent pre-planning team who will help you with ADR's, tours, recreation, transportation, tickets, etc. They send out a nice packet of information regarding the resort and will also include an elevator key, which you'll need to access the concierge floor. Upon arrival, you can leave your luggage with bell services, bypass the main registration desk and take the elevator to the 5th floor. Between the hours of 7am and 10pm, there is a staff of concierge team members who will take care of checking you in and also making any last minute changes to your itinerary. The lounge is just to the right, but the floor is very spread out. Our room was quite a hike to the lounge. The lounge itself is fairly small with a couch and about 10 tables for 2 or 3 and 2 tables that seated 4 or 5. There is a little kids area with a tv and some pint sized tables. They also have a balcony, but the view is of the parking lot. The lounge itself remains open only during select food service times. The breakdown is that at 6:30am, the staff sets up coffee and tea carafes in the hallway outside the lounge. At 7am, the lounge opens for an expanded deluxe continental breakfast. They close at 10:30 for clean up and then reopen from 11am-4pm with snack items like pudding cups, nuts, goldfish crackers, gummy worms. They close again from 4-5, reopening from 5-7pm with wine, beer, 2 hot appetizer items, cheese & crackers, vegetables, uncrustables. Again they close from 7-8pm and reopen one last time from 8-10pm with cordials and some mini desserts. The lounge then closes for the night.
