Hi everyone, we returned home from a 2 week stay at the YC concierge!
we got back a week ago, and yes, I wish I were back there!
we had a lake view concierge bookd, and we had an awesome view of crescent lake, BW, World showcase, the shipwreck, the lighthouse, everything...
the new decor at the YC is wonderful! I love it! all rooms have the same decor, as opposed to before where the concierge had a different decor. the drapes are striped., which imho is better over the previous floral which was a little "loud"!
the bedspeads are adorable with hidden mickeys, and I love the Mickey lamps! I like them better than the ones at the GF, I cant wait til they sell them!
The concierge was excellent as usual. The whole team remembered us from our previous trips, and we are referred to now as "regulars"! They are such a special group of people, really go out of their way to make the guests happy and comfortable! just to mention a few of the concierge team, as they deserve some recognition - Dane (you are wonderul... thanks for everything!!!!!) Theresa, Betty, Trevor, Jennifer, Abby, Josh, thnak you all of you! and those I didnt mention too. all of the concierge cm's are the BEST! Also a special thank you to Lauren, you were awesome, thanks for everything!
This is one major reason we keep going back to the YC!
we even got a present from Mickey in our room too! a lovely YC pen and a leather note pad case, and an autographed pic of mickey n minnie,
I had the 3 ft decorated christmas tree from the WD florist deliverd to our room on Thanksgiving day, while we were out at Cindys Castle having breakfast. when we returned to the room, it was there, all set up on the table, dh was so surprised! (Thanks Lauren for taking care of that!)
nthey shipped it to our house on our last day, and now it sits in our living room, cute as ever!!!
dh also had a basket delivered to the room for me on our first night! champagne, 2 mickey champagne glasses, cheese and crackers, 3 balloons, so beautiful!!!
we had a great trip!!!
The newly renovated concierge lounge is so nice. I love the new decor, the nautical curtains, and pillows! there are more tables now, so that makes it easier to lounge about during breakfast
the food offerings were pretty much the same as usual, the morning is bagels, english muffins, bread for toast, cream cheese, jelly... donuts (krispy kremes!) chocolate and glazed, danishes, coffee cake (either walnut or blueberry), fruit, melons, cereal, oatmeal, donut holes.... coffee, tea, juice, water.....
the afernoon was popcorn, pretzels, gold fish, chips and salsa, cookies, soda, ice tea, lemonade, water, coffee, tea...
then a little later in the afternoon they add a cake, pudding cups...
the evening varied, some items were veggie wraps, quesidillas, cheese filled jalepenos, little hor deourves, pbj, veggies and dip, cheese and crackers, etc...... also wine....
the late evening is a cake, and a large array of small pastries, about 5 different cordials...
we used the lounge for breakfast almost everyday, except for about 3 days that we went out for breakfast. other than that, we hardly used it at all, much less than previous trips, but I did go in to peek so that I could report
we only had evening hordeourves once.
SAB was great as usual, although it was a little to chilly to use the pool much.
we love walking around crescent lake late at night! and Beaches n vream is always fun!
house keeping was perfect, we got little towel amnimlas, and turndown every night (I think we left there with about 60 little chocolates!) lol!
even met some DIS'ers in the lounge! Hi Linda
I got to take a look at the suites at the YC too! the Vice presidential, the Admiral, and the Turret suites, all gorgeous! the best one however is the Captains Suite!!!!!! omg, I wanted to move in, it is on the first floor in the front of the resort, so no lake view, but who cares, the suite is so absolutley gorgeous that the view doesnt matter! it does hav a huge patio too!
I took pics and in a week or two, I will be posting them!!!
well, once again, we had a fabulous time at the YC! any questions????
