According to CBS SID Garrett Ryan will be reprising the role of Kyle Abbott, his first appearance is 10/13. It's the same little boy that played him a few months ago.

In February 2010, Jack's new wife, Emily, asked Diane to return to Genoa City, to have Jack's son, Kyle, for a visit. By the time Diane and Kyle arrived, Patty Williams had taken Emily's place after putting Emily in a coma. Diane and Patty clashed immediately once Jack left them alone, with Patty having a hard time maintaining the Emily persona while Diane went on about what a nutcase Patty was back when she knew her -- when Diane was Jack's mistress, and his wife, Patty, a mere child. After a short confrontation with Phyllis, Diane and Kyle returned to Vancouver, Canada, where they lived.

Youre too funny! Girl!, this is exactly what I needed!! ...but WOW!! How sick is this??....I don’t even remember the recent Diane sighting! I know she was a part of it all….and I remember watching Patty and Kyle go thru this storyline…..but for the life of me…..I can’t put Diane in the picture!

This is so crazy! I remember the faces of the 2 women (AD and SW), but dont equate them with Y&R.

It’s still on my DVR, I couldn’t get thru the first 5mins!! I haven’t even seen our boys yet!! It was way too disturbing for me! Im gonna go thru it later tomorrow!


I don’t remember the original Diane, I do remember the last Diane. I always feel out of sorts when that character is around because I don’t really know her.
I remember when she was dating Andy, when she was setting Phyllis up for the housefire, when she was doing the Victor spermbank thing…..but I still don’t get her! I cant recall why she went to GC, why she stayed, who her friends were…and I cant remember when she gave birth to Jack’s kid! Maybe it’s psychological….I just blocked that out….

BTW....Did anyone notice the new set?? The outdoor courtyard area where
Jack and Phyl were dancing?

The first 5 minutes was JT. That was so awful. I will not watch that show again. Found it way to disturbing. Daniel comes in later on.

I think part of my memory problem from the way past episodes is that stupid school got in the way! That was before dvr of course, but we didn't even get a vcr until I was in high school. So if it didn't happen during the summer or a school holiday (or sick day), I didn't get to see it!

Sorry for the basic question, but...

how are Colleen and Abby sisters? I'm confused. Colleen's dad is Brad and her mom is Tracy, right? And isn't Abby Victor and Ashley's? I know I must be missing some soap opera baby swap or you're not my real mom/dad storyline here!

I could be mistaken here (because you know, you miss 1 week & everyone's paternity changes....)...Abby & Colleen are step sisters - Colleen was Brad & Tracy's, Abby is Victor & Ashley's - but Ashley was married to Brad when Abby was little, so he was her step-dad. There may even have been a time when Ashley claimed Brad was Abby's biological father, I can't remember back that far. Technically, if I figure this right, Abby & Colleen are first cousins since their mothers are sisters. No?

I think you're right on all of that. If my memory serves me right (and it doesn't always do that!! ) I remember something about Victor's paternity of Abby not being revealed until she was older. I think maybe Abby grew up thinking Brad was her biological dad and didn't find out about being Victor's biological child until her early teens?? Therefore, she always thought of Colleen as her sister since she thought they shared the same biological father for a long time. Maybe someone can confirm that or correct me.

Ashley claimed she got pregnant by some man she met on vacation, on a cruise I think. Brad knew he wasn't her father, but raised Abby as his own. The Victor reveal was later, and I think John died without knowing. So they were raised as sisters and first cousins.

I'm home with sick kids, and I'm watching today's show (just got back from the dr's office). I loved that Deacon saved Nikki from the spiked tea, but hate that he is going to join up with Meggie. I know some of you don't agree, but I think he and Nikki could be a great couple, even if only for a short time. She isn't looking so matronly these days!

YUP!! you guys are correct! Abby is the product of the Victor sperm bank debacle (this links back to the Diane Jenkins storyline that I couldnt remember)! I do, however, remember THIS storyline very well! Ashley kept Abby's paternity from Victor and Brad. Brad told everyone that he and Ashley had a rendezvous, then they got married. They were raising Abby when Victor found out (I think Nikki actually found out and hid it!)...Oh well...after TGVN found out, there was the usual men beating their chests, threatening each other, declaring ownership.... Abby declared she'll always love Brad, and that he would always be her dad...yada, yada.....

I think I read somewhere that it's because they cancelled the soap that used to be in this time slot. ATWT maybe? I don't know for sure because the only one I watch on CBS is Y&R but read they were substituting this for the one that was cancelled recently.
