my guess is that they get other jobs - i'd hardly think they'd just be sitting at home waiting for that call.

It was the most I've cried for this show in a good while. ...Combination of the music and Colleen dying.![]()

So whaddya think? Monday was actually a pretty good episode! From this soapfans point of view, it was moving, like it would have been in the old days. The scene between Ashley and Victor was poignanta man who sees his wife holding their healthy newborn baby girl, despite his having been a supreme idiot; and a woman who now knows her husband is an idiot.
The Colleen scenes were lovely, the goodbyes were great, but Christel was still just not into it. Maybe shes supposed to be the pillar of strength still not a tear from her, altho I bawled (audibly, visibly) especially when she started The Lords Prayer.
Big props to Sharon Case, Pete Bergman, Beth Maitland (of course), Eric Braeden, Jeanne Cooper, and Thad Luckinbill (didja kno he was related to Lucille Ball?)!!
From a symbolic POV, watching the end of this episode, with the families lined up, watching their 2 loved ones being rolled into the OR .it seemed to be a changing of the guards. Even if I ddnt read the spoilers, I would know that it was a pivotal moment.
Finally! a moment in recent Y&R history I can be proud of! Maybe we had to go thru the ridiculousness to get to this point, (and sadly) maybe we have to get rid of the shows stalwarts in order to go on in a more contemporary, and realistic fashion. Hopefully, things will get better. (OMG!, Im an enabler arent I?)
On another note, has anyone seen AMC lately? I had written them off many many years ago, but they have become more compelling (maybe its all relative, they air right after Y&R on SoapNet in my area)
