Having not been a long-time viewer of YR I guess I don't appreciate all that the actor brings to the role of Victor Newman. But, I'm guessing it would be similar to Susan Lucci being replaced as Erica on AMC (which I used to watch...started watching with Grandma in the early 1970s...but can't say that I've been impressed with the show in quite a few years) or Stuart Damon being killed off as Alan Quatermaine on GH (still shaking head over that one...and I can say I really haven't cared to watch GH since Alan is gone and all that is left is all mob all the time).

At any rate, I can understand why people would be upset with Mr. Mumbles being killed or replaced. I'm sorry for the long-time viewers!

My other observation is that maybe soaps are just "done for" as a medium. It's a real shame too. I used to always enjoy them...and now find that I'm beginning to find they are perhaps a bit irrelevant. I can always find something else to watch on the DVR when I'm on the treadmill...but I do miss the soaps of old that told well developed stories and remembered their viewers!

•Chance and Chloe arrive at the cabin, Mac and Billy are already there. Chloe and Billy face off as Chloe reminds Billy she is still an Abbott as her and Billy's divorce has not been finalized
•Nick, Phyllis, Michael and Lauren are at the fair with Summer and Fen. It is Fen's birthday. Katherine, Murphy and Pearl are also there having a good time
•Jack asks Sharon to come over to Brad's place, they have a nice heart to heart talk. Jack offers to rent out Brad's home to Sharon. Jack is happy to see Sharon getting stronger, Sharon advises Jack to just let go of his anger/hatred. Later, Sharon tells Noah they have a new home.
•News of Patty is in the paper, a Patty look a like is shown reading the paper!! Get this, she's a doctor!

Next - Nick and Victoria face off against Adam; Victor wants to give Adam a second chance; Kevin looks for the painting, it's gone. Gloria gives it to Jeff

Despite seeing him standing there crying...I was glad Jack told Paul just exactly what he thought of Patti and her actions.

I am glad Ashley told Victor just want she thought despite him laying there recovering from heart surgery!

A few observations...I love the way Y&R has FALL in full bloom...while Adam and Victoria were arguing, I could see the colors on the trees through the window in Victor's home.

I was so glad Jack IGNORED Sharon today as she came into the AC...she did the same!

I have also loved that HUGE coffee cup on the counter in Crimson Lights that is always full of muffins.

AND Nikki... Don't ever let go of that torch your holding for Victor!

My husband is no longer working at nights so we are able to watch some TV together. Last night I flip the TV to soup net at 7:00 pm. He didn't mind, he's just glad to be home at that time. By 8:00 pm he looked over to me and said "you like watching that? Those are some bad actors....and the stories are just so silly why would you waste an hour on that?" I also said, "yea, you're right".

November Sweeps Previews:
The pressure builds when Victor has both Nick and Adam trying to work at Newman. Both try and wear each other down. Nick tries giving Adam small useless jobs, seeing what it will take to get him to quit. Adam works hard to irritate Nick.
Nothing pushes Nicks buttons as much as Adam zeroing in on his "Achilles's Heel" - Sharon. Adam and Sharon have much in common. Both have made bad decisions, both have been known to keep secrets. Adam tells Sharon about him and Rafe, and sleeping with him. Since he so deeply exposed himself, Sharon lets her defenses down,and lets Adam in…sharing her own secrets. The new bond, given Sharon's vulnerability,really works on Nick.
Chance tries to stop a robbery and is severely injured after being stabbed. Chloe learns he's been rushed to the emergency room, and is fighting for his life, and her whole world changes. She's put in a tight spot realizing she could be about to lose a man who truly cares for her. Nina sees Chloe in a new light, realizing underneath her edge, she is genuine, and that she has real feelings for her son.
Billy purchases Restless Style from Phyllis, and proceeds to use the magazine to do a horrible expose on Victor. It goes against everything Mac believes in. This proves one of many powerful obstacles for Mac and Billy. The couple realize how very different they are. When Billy uses an on line article to do a destructive job on Victoria, the relationship finally breaks.
Lily's cancer and Cane's lies have kept the pair from being intimate. They're going to shatter through the issues that have kept them physically apart, and make love for the first time in a long time. Their love story is going to be refreshed. They start making some huge plans for the future.

•Nick and Victoria face off w/ Adam, later they visit Victor who says Adam deserves another chance. Victor gives Adam a job at Newman but he'll be working for Nick!
•Gloria meets w/ Deacon about the painting, it is verified to be real. Daniel accuses Victoria saying she is working w/ Deacon on the scam, she gets pissed and slaps him. Later, Gloria looks at the painting she has and realizes she's been conned as she now has another painting! Deacon has tricked her!
•Chloe, Chance, Mac and Billy continue to fight. When Billy goes too far w/ his insults, Chance tells him off
Next - It is revealed that Deacon is working for someone; Adam starts work; Daniel meets w/ the cops

So I am watching today and the very last scene is a woman reading the GC newspaper with Patti Williams' story on the front page. The camera zooms in on her diploma it states (as I froze it to get a good look) EMILY PETERSON. Who is that? I believe the diploma said California College of Professional Pyshciatrists... Under her name it said Medical Doctor! Oh and it is definitely the actress that has been playing Mary Jane/Patti.

That whole scene with Billy/Chloe/Mac/Chance ... STUPID. Chance and Chloe should have just LEFT... we did not need to spend the majority of the show with those 4.

It looks or appears that Sharon is getting her life back...renting Brad's home and Noah moving in with her.

I kinda saw it coming with the Billy asking to buy Restless Style from Phyllis. And I begged for it not to happen the other day....PLEASE no Sharon and Adam.

These spoilers sound pretty good!!! Thanks for sharing them!!

Oh and I can't wait to find out what the whole Patti/MJ look alike is all about!!!

• It's revealed that Victoria and Daniel have been working together and have conned Deacon, they have the real painting and turn it over to the cops. Daniel gets the reward money but gives it to Kevin to help Ryder • Deacon is upset he's been conned, he tells Amber he's been working for someone and now that he no longer has the painting, he's screwed. Phyllis shows up and warns Deacon to stay away from her son! Later, Jeffrey overhears Deacon asking someone to keep his son safe • Roxanne asks Devon about Lily, she wants to see her but wants nothing to do with Devon. Meanwhile, Lily and Cane visit Colleen's grave and later renew their vows at a church • Adam is appointed junior VP of Newman, Nick gives him small tasks. Later, Adam informs the stockholders about info that Nick and Victoria withheld from them!

Next - Adam confides in Sharon about the bad things he's done; Ashley tells Jack she isn't afraid of Victor; Victoria knows her marriage is falling apart

What was happening...I am hearing rumors that this was an Adam dream OR that Y&R put Victor into a coma and are sending him to rehab so that he can make up his IRL mind about doing the show...I heard if he does not re-sign...his last day on Y&R after 27 years will be November 2, 2009...???

Is this all rumors...?
