When do they award the medal? I saw Bilodeau climb the podium but they didn't give him the medal or play the anthem. Do they award them all at the same time in the evening like the did in Lillehammer?
Same here...that poor Russian guy (at least, I think he was Russian--he was in the brown outfit) looked like he was absolutely miserable sitting there in the "kiss & cry" area. I missed the fall but heard about it, and just looking at those huge sad eyes of his was enough to tell the story.I LOVE pairs ice skating....but it breaks my heart every time someone falls...I just cringe I feel so bad for them....
Actually, he'll get the medal tomorrow at BC place.

Scroll down to Monday in the BC Place column.
Who in the heck picked the music for the Ukrainian pairs skaters??? With the weird lady moaning/wimpering in the background? And let's not mention the electric blue spandex disco suits. Just bizarre.
I thought the outfits were bad enough but then I heard the music. What were they thinking?
I thought you couldn't have any words, moans, groans, etc in the Olympics.......what were they thinking
They need help from What Not To Wear![]()
OK, I haven't read much of this thread but I thought it was appropriate to ask my question here:
What's up with the medal ceremonies? Why are they not giving out the medals immediately after the competition? I mean, that's why they are there... You compete to get a medal, and if you win, you should get it right away. What am I missing here? I have not heard anyone on NBC mention why they are waiting 24 hours to give out the medals. Thx!
