I'm having trouble tonight because I want to keep flipping channels to see what I'm missing, but the Blues are also playing tonight. I can't deal with 3 channels! Lol.
Great feat by Kramer. It was awesome to see him trapeze up the walls. He's cute too.
Apolo Ohno never ceases to amaze me. He's awesome! And I agree, the just watching the mogul skiiers makes me hurt in my knees. I'm surprised they're able to walk after doing the run.
Seriously. There comes a point where it is just mean.
Having said that. I realised that placings going into the medal rounds are sometimes based on the number of goals made in the preliminary round (as a tie breaker). I suppose then, that you do want as many goals as possible.
Holy crap, scary moment a second ago on luge...one of the Americans hit the lip at the top of one of the turns on the course. He appears to be OK, though.
It's like that in the stock market. There's a certain strategy where people can "sell short" on a stock, meaning they can buy a stock they know is tanking, and make money off of it going downwards. The stock market won't let people buy a stock when it drops to it's last 5 points because a stock should be able to die with some dignity.
The whole reason for them running up the score is, as someone mentioned, in the event they need a tiebreaker. Goals-for is one of the first (if not the first) tiebreaker that can be used to determine who wins.
