Xmas mini van help for MCO PLEASE!!

Anyone have a great code for a mini-van, van, or mid/large SUV for Dec 25th pick-up (flight arrives at 7:30 PM) and return car Jan 3rd at 3 PM. If I can't get the quotes of $1400 for the week down to $500 or less this Xmas trip ain't happening for the kids!! PLEASE help Dizzers!!

Sadly you are going the BUSIEST time of the year. The rental car companies know this and don't allow use of the coupons, discount codes etc... that generally work the rates down.

I got a quote from Alamo standard SUV and Midsize suv is 503, and mini van is 680. I hope that help. But I went through the costco website though.

Must you be a Costco member for that? I am not COstco, I am a Sam's Club person.

What rate did you get? It comes up $1200 for the week with that code for a Intermed SUV and $1400 for a full SUV for that week for me. It'd like to see $500 out the door or less....

Even if you have to be a Costco member to get the rate using the codes quoted earlier, it would be worth the $50 membership fee to save that kind of money on the rental car.

If the car rental is really going to "make or break" the trip, I would book using those codes. Keep an eye on the rates up until right before you leave. If you find something better that doesn't require a membership, great. You can always cancel the car reservation. If you don't find a better rate, go get a Costco membership.

I go this week every year for college bowl games and have never seen prices this high. I have always used codes in past that brought the charges down to normal. Anyone else have a good code for Xmas?
