Besides Expedia, Travelocity and the Airlines sights and price grabber, any other suggestions for getting a cheaper price for a flight.

Thanks
Chris

Chris,

I remeber responding to your previous post about Christmas airfare. I finally bit the bullet Sunday night and booked our flights @ $285 a ticket. It's way more than I wanted to spend, but I remember last year they never came down. I checked them again today and the same flights are $510 a ticket! Even when SW came out with their holiday ticketslast year, they must have been all sold in the first few hours. The only thing they had laft was terrible depatrure and arrival times.

Try sidestep.com. It will search multiple sites and allow you to filter the results. HTH

Amazing out of JFK the rates are $180 and plenty of times are available. Why is JFK much better prices than Philly???????????

If I could get $180 I would take it. Right now NWA is at $250 out of Detroit. I'm hoping Spirit releases their December dates soon.

Me too, but Spirit is usually higher in cost than USAir.
Let's see what happens

Christmas is always expensive. Take it from someone who has been traveling over X mas for the past 10 years. If you are looking for non stop flight on the peak travel days, don't shop too long. If you see a good fare grab it, it may go away never to appear again. I have my tickets for this year
LGA/MIA 79 AA 12/22 :thumbsup2
MCO/ LGA 79 DL 1/1 :thumbsup2
I saw those prices and jumped. I was willing to go 129 each way without a 2nd thought.
I don't know why the airlines would sell seats at 79 over the holidays, but I won't argue with them. When Jetblue opens up they will be a 199 and up

DVC guy when and where are you flying from . We are fare watching for PHL or BWI to MCO Dec 19th -30th and have seen rates @ 185.00 R/T with good flying times .

NYC LAGUARIDIA to MIAMI 12/22 American
Orlando to NYC Laguarida 1/1
Those prices are before taxes
185 R/T with good times is a fare price I would buy it and be done . With the price of fuel and the general way that airlines price their product, lock it in and start planning. See you at WDW :cool1:
