What are the chances of getting a studio at BWV or BCV at 7 months out for the Christmas week 06? I will book OKW a 1 bed from 14-23rd and 1st Jan to th 6th. I would like to stay nearer Epcot and thought either BWV or the BCV would be nice. Has anyone every managed to secure that week when it isn't their resort?

Don't know about 2 YEARS from now, but I had reservations at OKW for 12/26-12/31/04 and had no problem changing to BCV at 7 months for a 1 bedroom. It's hard to say how SSR and other factors will affect the availablity so far in advance. I think you have plenty of time to make your final decision.

Hard to tell. Definitely worth a try. Just don't count on being able to get a standard room at BWV. Those get snapped up quickly, and probably have a fairly lengthy waiting list for Christmas week. But a preferred view room or maybe even a BCV room (though it's smaller so there are fewer rooms) wouldn't be out of the question. Of course, you'd increase your chances by waitlisting day by day instead of trying to get the whole length of time at once. But maybe you'd rather avoid having to move, possibly more than once.

You probably won't be able to get Dec 31st, New Year's Eve. This year (2004) NYE falls on a Friday so it's high points. Next year( 2005) it's on a Saturday, so still high points. For this reason many do not do NYE during these years. We for example have done 7 NYE's at WDW, but will not be going again until 2006.

This is because in 2006 NYE is on Sunday night, so it's low points again. (Relatively speaking for Premiere season --- 19 pts for the night instead of 43, for a BWV Studio with preferred view. Forget about even thinking of getting a Standard Studio for NYE at 7-months. Anyway, a 5-day week, Studio at BWV, beginning 12-31-06 is going to be 67 points. Compare that to 5-days for NYE's this year which is Fri-Tue and would be 101 points. For this reason the NYE in 2006 will be a lot more popular.
