X-Men: The Last Stand

Comic book nerds unite!! Or anyone else who is excited about this sequel coming out May 26. I LOVED the first two (Bryan Singer...you genius!), and was glued to my tv for the 7 minute special on Fox last night. Awesome sepcial effects (again) PLUS the introduction of new characters. Though Rogue has been my favorite since I first picked up a comic book EONS ago, I have been a little disappointed at how little they've used her in the films and have underplayed her powers VERY badly (I hope they finally give her super-strength and the power to fly like she's supposed to). I am excited to see the use of Juggernaut, Beast, Shadowcat and it looks like Colossus (mmmm ) will be getting some decent screen time (aside from the brief cameo in the 2nd movie).

YAY X-Men!!!

PS, I was so excited when I realized it was Kelsey Grammar as Beast. how perfect was THAT!

Oh I can't wait!!! My DFi and I are going on opening night - yeah, we're dorks. The first 2 were great and I am SO pumped to see what they do with this one!

I agree, Bryan Singer has done WONDERS for comic books at the movies. The first two X-Men (and the third I'm sure), plus Sam Raimi's excellent films of Spiderman (my favorite) and Batman Begins as well, it's great to see comic book heroes making great movies again, like the first two Superman movies or Batman movies. And lucky us, we only have to wait a few weeks after X-Men to see what Mr. Singer can do for Superman! It's a great summer film season for comic book fans!

I can't wait either! I'll have to wait a day though because I'm going to a concert the day it comes out. But I'll see it that Saturday!
