X Factor--Season 1

I watched the X Factor last night. I think the show has possibilities but it is moving kind of slow. Too much repetition in the intro of each segment.

I was struck by all of the beauty involved in those segments with Nicole Scherzinger. She is so beautiful and she is sitting there with the gorgeous Enrique Inglesias at a pool overlooking rolling hills and the Pacific Ocean in the distance. Almost too much beauty.

I'm hooked on the show (and pissed that we have to wait until tomorrow to find out the final four from each group). Here's who I want in the top fours:

Groups:
The Anser
The Brewer Boys
Lakota Payne
and I don't care who gets the fourth spot. It would be an "also ran" anyway.

Boys:
Tim Cifers
Nick Voss
Chris Rene
Brian Bradley

Girls:
Jazzlynn Little
Melanie Amaro
Caitline Koch
Drew Ryniewicz
(I really like RAchel Crow but I think the competition would eat her alive.)

Over 30's
Josh Krajcik
Leroy Bell
Tiger Budbill
And I don't care who else goes. I detest Stacy Francis.

Jennasis,

I like your choices for everything but the Boys. I would rather see

Brennin Hunt (for the eye candy alone, but I think he can also sing)
Marcus Canty
Tim Cifers
Nick Voss

I agree with you about Stacy Francis but I think that I dislike Tiah Tolliver even more. She is my least favorite of all of the contestants in any group but it sounds like Simon really likes her.

I may change my mind since it is still early but right now my overall favorites are:
Josh Krajcik (just wish he could clean up a little - both hair and skin)
Leroy Bell (love the softness in his voice)
Caitline Koch (she can sing, is really beautiful but I gotta love anyone who is involved with rugby)

LoL Me and DH made a final four list last week, this is MINE!

Girls:
Tiah Tolliver (Simon really likes her)
Rachel Crow (I hope I like her)
Jazzlyn Little
Drew Ryniewicz
I am thinking Melanie Amaro is the one one they were talking about that "I can't believe we aren't putting her through"
How Simone Battle EVER made it that far is beyond me! Didn't know the lyrics to Your Song and she couldn't even belt out anything worth listening to.

Boys:
Time Cifers (I like him don't think LA does)
Nick Voss (I don't like)
Marcus Canty :)
Chris Rene....I really don't see the hype with him, I mean I think its great he has overcome his addiction and deserves kudos for that but his voice isn't really all that great.

Groups:
Brewer Boys
The Anser
Lakoda Rayne (one girl is from my town, we are hoping she makes it through!)
and I have to pick a 4th so the group of 10, but I don't think the judges enjoyed them.

Over 30s:
Tiger (DID AMAZING last night!)
Josh Krajcik
Christa Collins blew me away last night
and my 4th is Stacy Francis....she annoys the crap outta me with the crying constantly and I don't really care for her, honestly I like Leroy Bell much better and would rather see him advance.

I am sorry but Brian Bradley needs to go! I hate his ignorance and his attitude, shoulda been booted when he refused to dance and tried to make the boot camp auditions all about him instead of the group.

God YES! I hate Tiah Tolliver too...and really not a fan of Simone Battle either.

We've been watching the show, but OMG I am SO sick of them focusing on the same 3 people! Tiah & Chris are so annoying and I don't think they have any talent. They're just focusing on the stories behind them. And that older lady who cries every single time she performs. ugh. However, there are a lot of really talented people. I like the new group they formed w/the younger kids too.

Can't stand that little brat!!

I think they will work wonders with him in the finals, he won't even look like the same guy that auditioned. Remember what L.A. said about his "before" and "after" looks? :)

Totally agree with you!!!!! :thumbsup2

I missed one of the episodes last week, stupid DVR didn't record it for some reason even though it was supposed to, and they don't have entire episodes on-line so I couldn't even see it that way.

I did see the 2-hour show on Sunday night, can't wait to see who the final 16 are!!

Oh I agree that Brian Bradley is a little b-rat. However, I think having a rapper on the show (and a talented one) would keep it interesting, AND I look forward to him crying like a little girl when he eventually gets the boot.

Yes, I would look forward to seeing him crying when he gets the boot...*insert evil laughing smiley here*, but not only can I not stand his attitude, I hate, hate, hate rap crap with a passion. :) I can enjoy almost any type of music, or at least appreciate it even if I don't like it, but not so with rap. I just don't find it the least bit appealing, so even if this kid was a sweetheart, I still wouldn't be able to stand him. :)

Does anyone besides me think that people who don't watch the auditions, and only watch the finals, are really missing out on a lot?

I know several people here don't watch the auditions at all, Robin being one of them (from one of the other X-Factor threads that are floating around) and I just think they are missing out on so much by not watching now. I love all the back stories about the contestants, and get more of a feel of "knowing them" better by watching the auditions.

I would just feel so out of the loop by not watching them.

That's how I feel about country music. I'd rather have bamboo shoved under my fingernails than to listen to it (I turned down FREE front row tix to see Rascal Flatts). I'm not a rap fan either, BUT I can appreciate when I see/hear someone who does either of those genres well. Which is why I'd like to see Tim Cifers in there.

While Brennin Hunt is an okay singer, he comes off as a bit off a tool...a real d-bag.

I completely agree. He thinks he is all that and more.

So far I have liked who Simon has put through. I have a bad feeling that the little girl with the peppy personality will not be put through since he said that the one everyone expected to put through was not going through.

Or maybe it will be the one with the power vocals.

I haven't been watching the auditions but that is due to working till after 8:00 and by the time I get home and can sit..I totally forget they are on. I'm off this week so I am watching.

I sure wish I had seen the auditions...I so feel out of the loop right now. I don't know any of the names or what other performances were like.

The young girl (Rachel Crow) has one of the most infectious smiles ever. I can't help but smile back when she smiles. It will be sad if she doesn't make it.

Does anyone else have trouble believing that Drew R. is just 14 years old (if I heard it right)? She just looks older. She even has wrinkles on her forehead.

Was glad to see the jazz guy go through...he's really cute and I think he genuinely didn't think he'd make it.

I think Drew looks older than 14 too. She has a good, unique voice though!

RACHEL CROW! Yes...she's adorable and has an infectious smile.
