15,000 Wyndham San Jose

20,000 Wyndham Palm Springs Resort

I posted that information on page one, regarding zero points being collected at Ho Jo, with the ECR. Source: Lorealle (sp) and a WR customer service rep. that I spoke with yesterday.

Wait, you now don't get points when you book the Ent Rate? Because we did in July.....

Yeah! I don't know! I spoke to Jennifer at Hojo and told her that I wanted to use my card and she didn't say anything about not getting points. We have the ent rate 2 out of the 3 nights we're staying. :confused3

Hello Lorealle,

I would like to know if you have a trip rewards membership, which is now Wyndam rewards, can you use it, to gain points from your stay on this property, since it is in the Wyndam family of properties, if you receive the entertainment rate? for I am leaning toward figuring not.

This is a really great question, Giselle!

We are a part of Wyndham Rewards, so you can definitely earn points on your stays with us!

[They do have stipulations that indicate that if you receive more than 30% off of your room rate for your stay, or if you book your stay as part of a package through a travel company that the stay is not eligible for point accrual. So you will want to keep that in mind!]

I hope this helps!

Just further prooving my source.

BOO! Thank you Gisele! :goodvibes

So I would only get points for one night. I used the AP rate for that night, but that's only 20%.

:headache:

And again, my conversation with a Wyndham Rewards Customer Service rep. yesterday, supports the above answer.

For as long as the discount is 30% or less, one can accumulate points for their WR membership.

Maybe they changed it from when they changed over to Wyndham from Travel whatever they used to be.

SO! With the rewards, you can ONLY use them for Wyndham hotels?! Like the Wyndham Anaheim Park!? NOT for hotels under the Wyndham family like the Hojo? Man, that bites.

According to the Ho Jo Innsiders Board, one can earn a free night at their property. Interesting, for it is not listed on the WR site. I don't think that I am missing anything either. So for that clarification, unless there is something that I missed somewhere on the WR site, a call would need to be made to either WR or Ho Jo.

Maybe I'll call Wyndham tomorrow...

So what about the By Request thing? And the free drink/snack?

OK, according to the WR site:
From WR site:

You can also redeem Wyndham Rewards points for stays at any of our brands (AmeriHost Inn®, Baymont Inn & Suites®, Days Inn®, Howard Johnson®, Knights Inn®, Ramada®, Super 8®, Travelodge®, and Wingate® by Wyndham), plus Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and other exciting destinations

So hello! Where on the site! Still looking, not finding.
The request promotion is found on the Wyndam resort website.

At this point, this is kind of funny now, annoying, but humorous. I will figure things out, one way or another. :)

It is possible, again, that HoJo is not showing as available, because it is not, for the nights that I am using right now anyway.

I was about to post that link. I had read it earlier.

It is strange, one reads one piece of information, but then something else contradicts it.

I did not realize that Wyndham considered basics such as towels and pillows as extras. he! he! ;) :)

OK I should have clicked on this link sometime ago. Never mind about no free night at HO JO, et al. Go to this link:

near the bottom of the page click on redeem, do not click on the Wyndham FREE Night Rewards link that is at top. After clicking on that link, it will take you to the appropriate page, then click on the top tab: Redeem a free night then put in your information. I knew I should have checked that out earlier. :faint:

I cannot go anyfurther, for I know that I do not have enough points right now. The website was good enough to remind me of that simple fact. But for as long as you have at least 6,000 points, you can look into it.
