2-1-2 Split stay, BWV-BCV-SSR ...... what's your strategy? Have done a couple of split stays with single days but always on either end of the trip rather than in the middle. We have a car so we move our own things, so no worries there.

Pack separate suitcases for each of the 2-night stays and an overnight bag with change of clothes for the 1-night stay. No unpacking or digging thru a suitcase with a mixture of clean and dirty clothes. Use packing cubes if separate suitcases is not an option.

Just have clothes packed in a way to easily get access and plan your day around it. I would fear inconvenience and likely would be stalking the site to consolidate the stay.

I would also plan on not getting the room until 5pm or later every day. So that means later dinner plans, having pool clothes ready, doing pool time to where you will be there until 5pm when your room is hopefully ready.

Honestly?

I'd just do a 5 night SSR stay.
I understand where this comment comes from. I used to feel like this.

But I have come to see the friction of moving in and out of the parks as a serious downer to enjoying a visit at WDW. Also, for me, the resort is a big part of the fun especially if I'm staying someplace new. I know it's a drag to pack and shlep your luggage from place to place but it sure is nice walking/boating/Skylining to EPCOT/DHS from BWV/BCV and then walking/boating to Disney Springs from SSR.

I don't know if there is a strategy to make this easier. It is what it is. I guess the strategy is to remind yourself how much time and energy your saving on EPCOT/DHS days by being so close to them. :)

Use packing cubes, put the clothes for each resort in one color cubes, clothes for second in a different color, etc. Or you can separate by person, each using their preferred color.

I would try and combine the BWV and BCV into 1 at either place.
Yes would love to do this and will keep trying but trip is 31 days out so we were lucky to get any days at either of those resorts this late at F&W. We did have all 5 nights at SSR but love the Epcot resorts for the ability to walk to Epcot/HS. We may still drop the BCV night and just keep the SSR for 3 nigths but have never stayed at Beach Club so kind of looking forward to checking it out albeit for what amounts to just a few hours. We are adults staying with no kids and are usually out the door doing something early in the AM and not back until afternoon (if we want to hang at the pool or resort for drinks) or evening so the move really wont cut into our resort time all that much. Appreciate all the advice!

Understand,,,,then I would stay as you are,,,pack up the day for BCV walk or take the ferry from BW check into BC, even if they dont have a room 1st thing, you can sit back and enjoy the pool and the view from the other side of the lake. Grab lunch at Ale and Compass and enjoy.

I would pack 2 bags. First for the BW and BC nights. Easy to move resorts there. You will have a car, you said. So maybe even take any hotel stops on way to/from into consider. We drive too and I usually pack an overnight bag with our toiletries and change of clothes for the 1 night in hotel (and anything we need to sleep in, though honestly we just travel in stuff we can sleep in and then pack new outfit for next day). But do a 3 night bag and then another 3 night bag...then when packing to go home pack a 1 night bag out of your last 3 night bag (since you likely may do wash while there). Or, here is what I have been doing now that we have a vacy home down there and go frequently for long stretches. I pack toiletries in a bag with the hotel 1 night change of clothes. Then pack like 4 outfits in a vera overnighter. ANd I wash them and wear them over and over. So maybe just pack a bag for like 3-4 days (instead of 7) and wash and re-wear. Do 1 rolling suitcase per person for ease of hauling. I would also combine me and DH clothes in 1 rolling and then put toiletries and 1 hotel change of clothes for both in other rolling (along with some water bottles...always need a bottle of water by our beds). If you're in a 1BR, the good thing about having 3 rooms is that you can keep the laundry detg (and coffee packs) to use so you have enough for the whole trip. Just do a load of laundry at each room or bring the detg to use on day 4.

Sorry for the ramble but I live for packing...like to pack minimally and make it easy and logical after the years with lots of travel with our 3 littles and not doing it smartly. I like packing a car too (like Tetris).

Love it Thank you!

DW could never deal with this. Having to repack and unpack. I'm more easy going although any split stay would not be less than two days in any resort.

Yeah not crazy about the 1 night. We have done that in the past and didn't care much for it not so much because of the move but it just didn't allow enough time to get familiar with the resort. It does however give you a snippet of what the resort is like though, much better than simply taking a tour or walking through.

So, we have not done a split stay like that, but we have done some other hotel hopping, including a road trip to Six flags over Georgia, continuing to KSC, then continuing to Disney. As others have said, we packed multiple bags with the family clothes for the night/next day.

Also, if driving, I recommend packing in the storage tubs. I literally have five that I purchased specifically because they fit in my Honda Pilot. Not only does it make packing, and perhaps loading and unloading easier, they also seem to draw less attention than a car with a bunch of suitcases visible in the back. They are not a "thick" as a suitcase, so you can pack more into less.

And again, you can pack one for each stay, and a carry on type bag for the toiletries.

The ones I have are also the perfect height for my car, so as to not obscure my vision...

We are Pilot (2021) people as well! Which tubs do you use?

Mine is the 2015. It is a great truck...

The totes are the Rubbermaid 31gal Roughneck Storage Tote. I think I got them at Target. I can fit three across, and then the other two turned sideways. Leaves enough room to fit a small "Kurig" coffee pot between the rear two totes.

They were a bit taller than other brands, so I felt they could hold more. And like I said, they just seem less noticeable than leaving a bunch of suitcases in your car. Easy to put a piece of masking tape on the side with some sort of note in a sharpie marker. Think "Billy's Clothes", or "Thurs/Fri".

If you have food, or something spills, easy clean up.

If you do then wind up someplace for the week, they easily stack up in a corner.

My friends make fun of me, but I never use a suitcase unless it is a quick overnight or we are flying (which has not happened much in the past couple of years).

Great tips!!! Can bring a collapsible cart or wagon of some sort to haul them (or just park in the portico and get luggage cart...which we usually don't because DH gets nervous about that with the chaos in there and then bell services wanting to help for tip). I think I will do this route with the bins. I happen to already have 1 sitting in corner that I am collecting items in to take to our vacay home (things we need to keep down there). May as well go get a few more bins and try this out.

I, for a while, took 2 of the 31 (bag store) large utility totes with all the kitchen and bath stuff. But, dang, they were heavy to lug from BWV parking lot. Especially since they had bottle of wine, 6 pack of beer, 6 pack waters, etc in there. Can't do the clothes in those (well, prob could) because there is no lid/cover. But like that they have handles. Maybe I'll buy a couple more of those and use those (just glancing at 31 site looks like they may have those totes with lid/covers. We head back south in like 3 weeks so this thread is very timely and handy.
