WWYD, Transportation for 6

EXTREMELY early planning stages for a possible trip in Summer 2016.

We want to do 2 days at WDW, then go on a Royal Caribbean Cruise from Port Canaveral.

There will probably be 6 of us (me, DW, DD(18), DD BFF(18), DS (12), DD(10)).

I'm LEANING toward:
DME from MCO to resort
Private shuttle from resort to Port
Private shuttle from Port to MCO

I'd usually rent, but that would require a minivan, and just looking at prices for this july (yes, I know prices will change), it looks like ~$350 to rent one for the week (then pay for parking) and use it RT, or ~$300 to do two one way rental.

Am I missing another idea?

The private shuttle idea seems easiest. Another option would be to rent 2 smaller cars, if that would save you money (I haven't looked at prices). But then 2 people would have to drive to the port and pay to park.
