I'm 23 days away from WDW and I started packing... well... I never fully unpacked from last time in May. I actually have a WDW suitcase that I use only for trips to Disney! I don't know if that is smart or sad. I'm going with smart.

I might have to upgrade my paper bag that I collect pre-Disney trip items to a suitcase. Our paper chain says that we have 24 days left!!!

I have a Disney suitcase too! I never take out rain ponchos we didnt use, misters, fans that attaches to stroller, coffee pot (wont need it this year...SSR!), visors ect...

We are going camping this weekend. I keep thinking when we get back we
will be in our TEENS!!

LauraAnn, I thought I was the only one who did that! I have all those kinds of things, plus our lanyards and even a bag with extra makeup/hairbrushes/toothbrushes etc. in it. All those little free samples that I get in the mail are so great for traveling, and whenever I have makeup that's almost gone I put it in the Disney suitcase. One less thing to pack, y'know? My mom thinks I'm either nuts or just lazy for not unpacking, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who does this. Looks like we will be there at the same time - as I'm sure a lot of us will be. I need to make a run to Home Depot to pick up some more Mickey heads, we will be wearing ours!! If anyone sees us, come over and say hello!

Woo Hoo, I went and got my Lime Green Mickey Heads so I will somehow be wearing it. I don't have any lime green shirts but DD12/13 and I will be wearing the same shirts everyday.
We have kelly green shirts, turquiose shirts, and dark turquiose tanks all with disney pictures of some sort on them. I look forward to meeting everyone and am happy to spend some time with other Disney nuts like me.

Oh, I love CP!! Well, we only have 22 more days and i can't believe it. it seems like we have been counting down forever for this special trip! Hope to see everyone down there.

I've packed my dd suitcase and i've started ours. I'm going to do laundry in the villa and keep my suitcase packed cause we are going to turn around and go back to WDW 3 weeks later. i'm excited not having to pack so much stuff cause the villa will have everything we need!!! can't wait!!

soccermom, I will be wearing shirts that match my kids almost every day too! We have a ton of matching Disney outfits, I just can't resist whenever I'm at the Disney Store and see matching or coordinating outfits in all our sizes.

My parents (who will be with us) think we're crazy! They are always amazed when I run into other DISers. Last year, my dad was holding the diaper bag with our green Mickey head on it and someone started talking to him about it, he had no idea what was going on! It was pretty funny. They say it's like I have friends everywhere at Disney, and it really is. I can't wait to hopefully meet some of you guys after we've been chatting all this time!

21 Days for us now too. Looks like we are all going to be there around the same time. Since I am fairly new to the DIS, I keep hearing about lime green mickey heads or something. What is it and where do I get some. I want to let everyone know I'm a DIS'er too.

joyerbides, just go to Home Depot and in their paint department they will have samples of Disney paint. The paint chips are in the shapes of Mickey's head! Pick up a few paint chips of the Alien Green color - these are your lime green Mickey head paint chips, aka LGMHPC's. People do different things with them - I peel mine off the backing (no need to soak or anything, if you are careful they will just peel right off) and use a labelmaker to put my DISboards screen name on them. I've also taped them to paper and printed my username on them, but the ink doesn't stay that well. I've seen people just write on them with a Sharpie, it doesn't really matter. Then I sandwich two together back-to-back and laminate them with Contac paper and trim around the edges, punch a hole in them and clip them onto whatever I want to! Sometimes I'll wear one on my lanyard, or clip it onto my diaper bag or camera case or stroller. Just something to identify myself to fellow DISers. I like to also carry extras so that if I meet a DISer, I can give them one and they will remember who they met. I've met quite a few DISers who spotted my LGMHPCs, but I can never remember who they are by the time I get home.

Somewhere there is a whole thread about the LGMHPCs and what people do with them. Have fun and maybe we'll spot each other at SSR!

9 Days and counting!

We were never able to secure a 2nd 1bdrm villa so I told DSIL yesterday that she could have the one we definitely have. Although I'll miss the extra space, at least we can use the washer/dryer in her room. For my family to use the 1bdrm I would of had to bring some kind of air mattress bed for one of the kids to sleep on as they won't sleep together and I just didn't want to hassle with it. Hopefully we will be assigned a dedicated 2bdrm unit when they see our parties are traveling together. Plus, we don't even need a full kitchen as I don't plan on cooking even one minute of this vacation!

Since April it been one surprise after another!!!
First booking 4 rooms at POP w/ free dining
Next- Getting a upgrade to 1 br. for each of the rooms booked
Then on Saturday, switching Teppan. ADR to Coral Reef w/VIP viewing for Illuminations!!!!

I can't wait to see what in store next for us- not that I could ask for any more pixie dust!!!

Thanks for letting me know. I always wondered what everyone was talking about. I think I just may do that. Hope to see you at SSR. I'll be looking for everyone's LGMHPC's.

Do you think this will work.

I am booked to stay in a studio at OKW for 2 nights from 24 Aug (room only booked through Dreams Unlimited), however on a different booking I have 14 nights at OKW in a 1 bed from 26 Aug (free upgrade and dining booked through Disney)

Do you think there is any chance that Disney will notice this and move me to a 1 bed for those additional nights so that I dont have to move rooms. Is it worth mentioning at check in and if so how should I go about it.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have actually heard of this happening over on the DVC board. It doesn't hurt to ask the worse that can happen is they will say sorry, no. Good luck that would be so nice not having to move and getting even more pixie dust.

Even if they don't upgrade you to the 1-br for those two nights, I think you did it the smart way going from a smaller room to a larger one. Just think, however much you like the OKW studio, you'll have the 1-br suite to look forward to! It would be a bit of a disappointment the other way around, don't you think?

I agree with soccermom, it never hurts to ask. The worst they can do is say no, and then you still have exactly what you booked.

I'm here!!! Getting more excited each day it gets closer. Only 12 days left!!!!
I still have tons to do since I go back to work(teaching) the day after we return and the kids have their first day after that. I have to get us all ready to go back to school before I can even think about packing!!!
