You want to talk about a messy house...we are in the middle of remodeling and have NO kitchen and part of the ceiling in the living/dining room is gone. We are 90% packed and I just packed our snack suitcase...yes, we have a suitcase that is just for snacks and then on the way back it is used for all the stuff we buy . I also have not been as excited as I should be but I think part of it is I keep looking at the weather forecast and it says Rain, Rain, Rain and more Rain the ENTIRE time we are there . I am hoping it is just the typical afternoon rain and it is ok the rest of the time. I have to stop worrying about it! Time to go make dinner in the microwave AGAIN

Dr. Lyzziesmom here. Right now we are suffering from a bad case of PDJ (Pre-Disney Jitters) which is only cured by a trip to WDW. Sadly, the cure is worse than the disease because the trip always causes an uncontrollable case of PDDSD (Post-Disney Depression Stress Disorder). Which of course can only be cured by booking and planning another trip to WDW.

And the vicious cycle continues.

I remember last year, I got home and was exhausted from my vacation. I slacked at work for at least a week before getting back into my normal groove. But it was so much fun--not relaxing like some vacations, but definitely a blast.

My pledge: Tonight I will clean house for a couple hours. I really DON'T want to come home to a mess.

I have packed as much as I can. Im taking the next couple of days to organized my house. When I get back from Disney I get a little depressed so I want the house to be all clean and organized.

Next week I will pack more. I have my sons b-day party this weekend.

2 days to go!!! Today I will finish packing, clean the bathrooms. Tomorrow I will change all the bedding and wash the rest of the laundry and pack the car for the airport so all we have to do Saturday morning is get in and GOOOOOOO. It is still raining here in WI (our dock on the lake is under water) so I may be building an ark today too

Ellasgirls - Have a blast! I cant believe all the flooding! An apt. complex in my town is completly flooded. As well as tons of other areas in Ohio and around the USA. Its just terrible!

I was checking the weather in Orlando. Looks like it will be cloudy and hot, hot ,hot! Im going Setp. 1 - 7. I hope we get some Florida sunshine!

This time next wk my plane will have landed and I'll be sitting by the pool at OKW.Well actually I be going down the water slide with my DD's or playing in the sand.

My girls are already talking about how they hope it rains, because everyone leaves when it rains and they don't mind getting wet! They both love splashing in the puddles, and DD3 likes to dance in the rain. I never let her do that at home, but at WDW... dance away, baby! Those afternoon showers feel so good on a hot day.

Okay guys...this is it! We leave for the airport in 1 hour. Many of you will be gone by the time we get back on Labor Day. So, I hope you all have wonderful, safe trips! Enjoy the upgrade!

We will either leave tonight for a hotel by the airport or get up early and head to the airport directly! I can't believe our day has come and tomorrow we will be swimming in Florida! We hope everyone has a great time and enjoys the upgrades....see ya in a week!

I can't believe it's here... so many of us are leaving already! I still have another week to go, and I'm hoping it will go faster than this one did. I think I missed a bunch of you, but in case you go back this far to catch up when you get back home, I hope you all have (had) a GREAT time!! I can't wait to hear about everyone's trips and magical upgrades, and hopefully meet some of you! I feel like we've just started all getting to know each other and would really like to meet my new friends. And what better place to meet new friends than WDW!

I'm getting so nervous, I keep thinking "this time next week I'll be training my temp replacement, I'll be checked in already for my flight, I'll be doing a last-minute check on park and parade hours, I'll be printing out my itineraries." So exciting!

Sorry if I missed anyone who already left or are leaving the wkend have a good trip.
The weather has been so bad here(chicago)the last 2 days.Yesterday I went to go pick my DD up from school and all of a sudden it got pitch dark and the wind and rain started blowing so hard (80miles hrs)The tornado sirens went off and they had all the parents come into the gym with the rest of the kids.We were stuck in the school for 40 min.When they let us leave it was better but there were so many trees branches knocked down and things blown everywhere.It was also very cold.It had been 90 before the storm.We made it home but it just kept comming.It rained so hard and then it started to hail ice (in August)Then we were without power the entire night.I missed big brother(if anyone wants to let me know what happen)
Luckly everyone is ok and we don't leave until next thursday instaed of this past thursday.Most flights were canceled or delayed.

I'll be around the next 6 days for anyone who wants to chat.

M2DDs: Wow that sounds really scary with the weather! I hope it clears up soon, well before you need to leave. Now I wouldn't mind being stuck in Orlando due to storms... but not at home trying to leave for WDW! How awful would that be? Glad everyone is ok. My job's corporate office is in Chicago, I'm surprised nobody there has said anything about the bad weather. We have had rain here (Kansas City) for a couple days, but just sprinkles, nothing bad. I hope your storms are not headed this way, I'm praying for good weather next Friday! Since we are on the last flight out we can NOT let it be delayed or cancelled.

I just printed off our boarding passes for tomorrows flight! The bags are packed and by the door, the dog is ready to go to the pet sitters and the only thing left to do is clean the bathrooms! Yippee...this time tomorrow we should be at POP and then the next day at OKW! WOW IT IS REALLY HAPPENING!

Spirit just called to say that our flight next Sat. has been cancelled.
We were able to get on a flight that leaves the day before our scheduled package starts. Now to find a room for the night. I'd like to get a Disney room and then still be able to use ME to get from the airport.
I have a headache and need some chocolate.
