Wow... what a steal!! I don't know why you wouldn't take it! Congratulations!!

I'm on the phone right now with Disney because we also got the free upgrade....finding out if we have to sit through a vacation club speech...if not I am thinking we will take a deluxe resort! I will let you all know!

OMG we just upgraded to OKW from sports. I feel like I have won the lottery. If anybody recieved the e-mail I would call ASAP. I just got mine transfered and she said they are limited on upgrades. We got a 1 bdroom with balcony and full kitchen with washer and dryer .We are staying for 13 nites. The total of our vacation was (are you ready for this) 7326.64 can you believe that we only payed 2200 for all star sports(5000$ difference). I called the 407 w disney # and was able to upgrade. The CM I talked to said that they are overbooked at the value resorts and our sending out e-mail to a select group of people. She said the upgrade was for my family only and could not be used again(like a pin code) She said that since the dinning promo went over so well they want to open more rooms at the value resorts,so that means the parks will be a little more crowded. This is the only downside to upgrading.

still on hold, there seems to be some issue w/getting the code to work, I heard her talking to another rep and they said it was ok w/free dining, b/c they want to free up value rooms, etc, but the code just isn't working...it seems that the PIN code converts to one of those 3 digit codes that they offer for like AP rates and what not to get into their system, and it isn't going thru. I'm concerned b/c she didn't ask me which resort I wanted...I'm also wondering b/c the offer email says remainder of payment due at time of reservation chg, I have to ask her if I can still get a total refund outside of the 45 day cancel period.

I just called back and got an AWESOME CM - she knew it would be tricky to book because I had booked online, but she knew how to get around it.

I got a 1 BR VILLA! at SSR for the same price as All Star Movies! WOWSA!

I am still holding and am all of sudden wondering if I want to upgrade...WHY am I contemplating a FREE upgrade. Is Old Key West way more awesome than POP? How are the busses...does it take any longer? PLease answer quick before I have to decide

I finally it booked it took about 30 minutes, I got a 1 bedroom villa, but they had to rebook my trip, my trip cost me 737.00 and this have would cost me 3300.00 so i say I think we got a good deal

We will have to meet up !!

Jenna - we were at Movies too! 8/26 - 8/30! I had decided to go for SSR - but I just called to book it and it didn't work - she said it wasn't online yet and I should call back tonight or tomorrow. :confused Jenna already booked it!

Edit - oh, I see Jenna is having trouble.

Hi, Excuse me because I know nothing about the DVC resorts but did I hear that the buses stop coming or going to these resorts earlier in the afternoon/night than the other Disney resorts? I thought I read that and thought I read you would need a car if staying at one of these. That's why I have not considered them before. Anyone know?

OK! I'm upgraded to a 1 BR @ OKW!!!!!
I made sure to request near the Hospitality House, the girl that helped me was soooo nice, and they had to 'back door' update the res, but I checked online and it's there already!
So, under 500 for 3 nts at a 1 BR villa, can't beat that now can you, and w/free dining!

Well, I finally got the upgrade to SSR! It is isn't a 1 bedroom villa, just a studio but who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you get a CM who is confused, just hang up and call back! It worked for me!




Guess I need to start researching SSR. What ashame...I'll have to spend more time on the DIS.

Ok...just got a 1 bedroom at OKW and get this....they OWE us $2.40 for some reason? We even have a jacuzzi in the bathroom...not that we will use it unless we fill it with COLD water (we are coming Aug 26-Sept 1). The only downfall is that we are coming a day early (on Aug 25) because of cheaper airfare so we have to stay at POP for 1 night and then move all our stuff the next day. I just don't want to waste an entire day moving! Hopefully they have a solution so we don't waste time. I hope this is awesome. I was kind of looking forward to POP because of the cool pools and hopefully my kids don't fall in love with it the one night we stay there . I hope this is a good move...someone reassure me it is PLEASE!!!

Of course, this is actually a very smart move on Disney's part. I am now investigating flights the day before, thinking maybe we could come in a day early, spend one night room only somewhere, and check in bright and early at SSR on the 26th and enjoy the resort all day (currently, our flight doesn't get in on teh 26th until late!)

I got the same email. Sounds too good to be true. Now I have to figure out if the family wants to move to that resort or not!
