WWE'S Chris Benoit and his family found dead!

Thank you Alison...I've been saying that for 3 days now! (and posting the information....just nobody seems to be listening) A few pages back I gave a whole timelime.

Some of us are listening, but there are a bunch of different discussions going on around here. This particular one comes up a lot and then goes away. This is getting to be a big confusing thread! :teeth:

this is a little off topic...but there are a few people I really feel bad for in this whole mess(minus the three involved).

the first two would be Benoits 2 older children with a previous relationship...I felt horrible when my Mother died of natural causes...I can't imagine hearing my brother was murdered by my dad who then killed my step mom and himself! talk about tramatizeing.(sp?)

Second-Chavo Guerreo. Many people Who don't watch wrestling..wil not know who he is so let me tell you a little...He is a current wwe wrestler who was the nephew of Eddie Guerreo(who died about 2 years ago) from heart failer(a natural cause-do to many years earlier useing roids and being a heavy cocane user..it weakend his heart-he was 100% clean for about 4 years at the tiem of his death). Chavo, Chris, and Eddie had been eating breakfast before going to work out...eddie went up to brush his teeth and get changed...he didn't come down so chavo went up to get him and found him dead in the hotle room. He called chris who was eddies best friend right away.

As reported a co-worker talked to Benoit saturday numerous times...that co-worker was Chavo...who kept calligng back as he knew chris didn't sound right.
He was also one of the 2 that got the text messages and top his bosses.

Lastly to make it ever worse on him he had just spent a few days with nancy, daniel and chris in their home.

I can't imagine how he feel today knowing that a man he thoguht he knew as a loving and careing fatehr and great friend commited this act!

My thoughts go very heavily to those 3 people.

Incasee anyone didn't get to read what I reported last night was that I was hearing rumbelings(and now posted by bob ryder on 1wrestling.com) that

Benoit had grown parrinoid that people were following him and his family of the last 6months or so. In fact he told Nancy to not leave home alone.

Also he was once super against religion..infact hated all forms of it...yet over the last few months he became super religious.

This sounds like a man not right in the head...which among other thigns leads me to believe that roid rage was not the issue as some media are tryign to state.

Now, see, I don't know much about 'roid rage, but his other symptoms (change in personality religion-wise and paranoia) sound exactly like what I experienced on steroids. Obviously, I don't know what could have happened to me on a higher dose or for a longer time, and I don't know how they would have affected him (if he was indeed on steroids) but I can say some of his symptoms match up.

Wow this thread is still going strong. The things that are coming out about this.....all I can say is WOW what a sick sick individual both physically and mentally.

Did anyone see the interview last night with Jerry Lawler's son Brian Christopher. Didn't he get thrown out years back because of drug use?

The fact is that Raw aired 4 hours after the news of the death first hit. When Raw aired I had already spent about 2 hours totally immersed in this story online. The idea that this was a murder-suicide was nonexistant at the time Raw aired. All we knew was that there were 3 dead bodies. WWE had a live show to produce and they did what they always do when one of their active wrestlers dies, produced a quick tribute show. As soon as there was any speculation of this, WWE had removed all web site tributes, or Benoit products from their site. In addition WWE dropped perhaps their biggest angle in several years because of this incident (McMahon's limousine demise). Finally, WWE's first production after the event's were revealed, VKM apologized for the tribute and assured us that there would be no further mention of Benoit. Those faulting WWE for the tribute show must have Miss Cleo tendencies because when Raw aired all that was known was that there were 3 dead people. This Nancy Grace style sensationalizing benefits no one.

I can stae with 100% certanty that he was on perscription roids for a fused neck (after having broken it) i can not comment on if he was illeagel roids other then as of april he was clean.

It doesn't sound like roid rage it that is something that even as the dectives have stated is a flash in he pan thing ...kinda like a PMS moodswing in women only violent.

I however didn't know until I read your post last night that they could make your parranoid....so it's possible.

I still have a feeling that he had some mental problems that we did not know about.

Yep read it and I posted it a few pages back.....
and yes he was tossed for various drugs, none of which was steroids however.(mostly pot and some coke if memore serves right)

Bret Hart comments

Word that Chris Benoit murdered his family before taking his own life has left Calgary's first family of wrestling devastated.

After hearing Atlanta-area authorities have blamed the deaths of Benoit's wife and seven-year-old son on the "Canadian Crippler," legendary wrestler Bret Hart was trying yesterday to wrap his head around the double murder-suicide in Georgia.

"I can't begin to even understand what could drive somebody to do this," said Hart, who has long considered Benoit a friend.

"The sad thing about it is I never saw Chris lose his composure, and I never saw him get angry -- he was always a very solid, sound, logical kind of guy.

"It's totally the last thing you'd ever expect to come out of Chris Benoit -- I think that's why everyone's having such a hard time coming to terms with this."

The Fayette County Sheriff's Department said anabolic steroids were among the prescription drugs found in Benoit's house.

"I'm hoping that whatever happened had nothing to do with levels of steroids or things like that," said Hart.

In a strange twist to the Chris Benoit saga, the pro wrestling superstar's death occurred just days after his former tag-team partner died of an apparent heart attack.

Shayne Bower, better known to wrestling fans as Biff Wellington, died June 20, less than a week before the bodies of Benoit, his wife Nancy and seven-year-old son Daniel were discovered in their Atlanta suburban home in a case police say is a double murder-suicide.

Bower, a 44-year-old Calgary native began training with the legendary Hart brothers in the mid-1980s.

Benoit's father Michael Benoit was stoic when reached by phone, vowing the family would cope.

"We'll be fine ... We'll make it."

Benoit also leaves two children from a previous marriage -- David, 14, and Megan, 10, who live in Strathcona County.

Benoit was born in Montreal but grew up in Edmonton.

I remember a few years ago watching a PPV and Owen Hart's harness gave away and he fell from the rafters. They turned off all cameras and made an announcement about this being real and cancelling the PPV.

No. they went on with the show. Most of the audience assumed it was a stunt because they thought that if it were real, they would have stopped the show. I remember thinking that it was sick that some of those guys had to wrestle in the blood of one of their closest friends.

Yep, that's what happened. It's one of the reasons I was so shocked that they canceled monday's show and didn't let the fans in the arena.

Lets use your killer cop analogy.

Do you think the department he worked for will honor him for his police work ever again????

Not the murderer, the cop.

They won't honour him but I'm sure they will remember the good work that he did. It certainly won't change the fact that he was involed in putting criminals in jail.

I think they learned their lesson with what happened with Owen. The Hart family will never forgive Vince McMahon for capitalizing on Owen's death.

This whole thing stinks!!! :sad2:

This tragedy has hit a lot of people in so many different ways. I feel for Benoit' family, his wife' family, his friends and the FANS!

This whole thing stinks!!! :sad2:

I was faced with a touch question from my DS(11) last night. He knew Benoit was found dead in his home but that was it. He said to me last night "I want to know what happened"

How do you tell an 11 year old that one of his favorite wrestlers not only killed himself but his family too. I don't want him knowing that.

I didn't tell him everything, just that he had killed himself. When I was walking out of his room, I heard him say to himself "why would he do that?"

All I could think of was "yea, Chris, why would you do that?" :sad2:

I really feel for you! That is not a conversation I would ever want to have.

I'd be afraid he'd find out the rest on his own though.

I was looking over my 15 year old's shoulder today on Facebook and some of the younger kids at his school have all these Remembrance Groups for Chris. They were HUGE fans. DS was like, How could they make a group looking up to him after what he did. I didn't have an answer for him except that maybe they didn't know what really happened.

Like I said before we haven't been huge WWE fans in quite some time so we are out of the loop on whos popular and whos not but I do feel for all the fans, especially the young ones who don't understand.

Joanne or anyone else, didn't Benoit also do Ultimate Fighting? I thought that's how he and Dean Malinko became best friends because I know Malinko was a UF as well as Ken Shamrock.

I'm pretty sure neither Benoit nor Malenko did ultimate fighting.

In the ECW, Malenko had a gimmick that he was similar to an ultimate fighter. I think it was because he looks a lot like Royce Gracie.

I think you're right. I don't think either of them were in UFC.

I believe Malenko and Benoit became friends wrestling in New Japan.

I'm not a wrestling fan and don't know the details of what happened, but I just heard on the news that the 7 yr old son had been injected with steroids because they thought he was small?????????? If this is true, that's really sad.:sad2: Please excuse me if I heard wrong.
