WW Weekly Weigh-in

Weighed in today at 178.4-down .8 from last week. Slow but steady. I would love to drop 1.5-2 lbs per week but I don't think that is realistic. Any loss is great. I had a bad weekend last weekend and TOTALLY blew all my points-and then some. But I felt it later (physically) and have decided to not do that again!!!

Keep up the good work everyone!!

You are so right, slow and steady wins the race! That has been my mantra all along, the slower you lose the odds are better the longer you will keep it off. I know what you mean about blowing the points and then feeling it later....just goes to show are body knows what is best for us and sometimes when we overindulge it gives us a loud and clear reminder. Keep up your great work, you will get there!

I had to change things up last week. I bought a new pair of dive fins and have been swimming about an hour each day. Besides paddling 6 hours a week. Right now it too hot to walk even at night. So I guess the swimming did some good!:cool1:

Week 3 weigh-in I lost 1.4 so now I'm down 7 lbs total. I'm very happy. A little nervous since I leave for vacation tomorrow. I did pack alot of point friendly snacks. And I'm bringing all my WW materials to help keep me on track as much as possible.

Good for you for planning in advance, that certainly helps. I hope you have a great vacation. And congratulations on your loss this week.
 

Since I started on August 25th I weighed 165...I just weighed myself at work and I am down to 148.6!!! That's a total of 16.4!!! Yeah!!! A little slower than I wanted but at least I am losing. I should say I am not really doing ww.. I have the info but really have not been following,, I just have been trying to eat in moderation and eat more often throughout the day.

I leave in 13 days for disney hopefully I will be down that 3.6 lbs for a total of 20 lbs. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I see how well all of you are doing and it gives me strenght when I want to eat that bagel or burger lol.

Congrats on the loss. Slow and steady wins the race......studies show the slower you lose it the longer you keep it off! Wow, two weeks until Disney......I am envious!!!
 
I had my monthly Curves weigh and measure yesterday, I hadn't measured in two months and I was down another 6 inches for a total of 12 inches lost in three months. The only thing I wasn't happy with is that my weight went up a little, but I guess that is because I am firming up. I think I am kind of plateauing (is that a word?) as far as weight loss, my body I think needs a metabolism shock...maybe I can work on that this month. I am still at goal, but I would reallylove to have a 5 pound cushion, so that is where I am headed.

Congratulations on the inches lost. That is awesome. I'm sure you're right with building muscle, gaining a little weight is not unusual. How many days a week do you go to curves? I've heard it is a great program, and even though I can't fit it into my schedule right now, I'd like to try it in the future. Keep up the awesome work Tig. :thumbsup2
 
I have had a very challenging weekend, but have kept on program. I had my 25 year high school reunion friday night, and used 17 points on a little food, a few drinks. Saturday had a birthday party, ate before I went and only had a piece of my sons pizza crust and some veggies without dip. Today was my nieces birthday party and I planned for 2 pieces of pizza, and had a few chips and dip, and ice cream, no cake. So now I'm off to a pre-fireworks make your own Sundae party. I have 3 activity points I earned with a bike ride this morning, and 2 flex points for the week left. I'm going to have just a small bit of ice cream. Tomorrow is back to work which for me is easier to plan and stay within my daily points.

Congratulations to all you losers here!!! :cool1: You give me the motivation I need to keep on track!!! Hang in there if you are struggling. We all have our ups and downs, but we can do this. :cheer2: Have a great week all!!!

Thanks, Mik! I go to Curves 3-4 times a week depending on what my schedule allows. If for some reason I can't make one of my days I try to do an alternative exercise. I participated in a three week fit study that they offered and was able to try them out for free, which was a big plus. Then at the end of the study they offered me a special membership which I decided to give a chance. I am committed for a year and I want to see what I am able to accomplish...12" in three months isn't shabby, I just really would love to see the scale go down (just 5 more pounds!).

Sounds like you have had a lot of activity lately, I find when I have too many social things I lose control because of the choices available. I actually cancelled something I like to do on friday just to avoid the food choices!!! Hang on my friend, keep on trucking!!!!
 
Well, I got through my weekend, and did pretty good, but monday night had a little encounter with a box of cookies, but I did write down all 15 points worth, putting me at 10 points over my weekly 35. So I went to weighin today, thinking I might have still lost a little, and I lost 3 pounds!!:banana:
I am thrilled. It just proves to me again, that this program does work. Journalling for me is the key. If I don't keep track, I eat way more than I need to feel satisfied. My goal is to stay on track and journal everything until my vacation on the 26th, and then on vacation to plan for some splurges, and hopefully maintain.

My WI was this morning and lost another .4 for the week. Yup... slow but steady.
Only 5.9 to go!!!! And vacation is in 29 more days.:thumbsup2

Just an update since I haven't been on this board for a few days....Went to WI last night, and lost .2 pounds(not much, but at least it wasn't a gain). I had gained 2 pounds last week( was still within my 2 pounds of goal), but was not surprised since it was my first week on maintenance. I kind of lowered the points myself to where I was when I was losing and it seems to be working. Guess I won't be able to eat all the extra points to maintain!:sad2: Only 4 more weeks to go until I become a lifetime member!!! So exciting! Keep on working on getting those pounds off, everyone!!! Don't give up!!!:wizard:

Harvest02- Congrats on your loss!! Any loss, no matter how small is worth celebrating. Sounds like maintenance is pretty tough. Hang in there!! 4 more weeks til LIFETIME!!! You can do it!!:cheer2:

Harvest02, I had to go back to my "losing" points instead of the maintenance points too. I just can't seem to maintain when I add the points back, so I understand where you are. Lifetime is just around the corner, it will be all yours before you know it!

I always say any loss is a good loss and .5 is a half pound so that should be celebrated!!!
