Congratulations Becka and Quinn222, what great first weeks for you both!!!! Great first weeks are terrific motivators, keep up the great work.

mikamah and PigletsPal, gaining weeks are always hard, but don't let a gain sabotage your efforts. Take this gain as a motivator to do better next week. We all are going to have weeks that we aren't as good as we should be, the important thing is to forgive yourself a bad week and start a new day tomorrow.

Yeah, what she said! :p

Mermaid02 - good job getting back on track!

Now, I need a swift kick in the behind! I guess the first week of maintainence (although I really want to lose more) is dangerous for me. No journaling. 2 girls' night outs, chinese, rainforest cafe, ugh! So, I'm with you guys getting back on track right now!

Kim - how does the weighing in thing work on Lifetime? I know I need to weigh in once every calendar month. But if I go to meetings each week - do I have to weigh in? My concern is when I have a crazy week like this last one, I don't want a bad weigh in recorded. If I weigh and it's over, can we just not write it down since I am not due to weigh in until Sept. now?
(did that make one ounce of sense?!)

I weighed in today and was only up .4, which was a relief after the weekend. I really like the leader on mondays, as she is always very motivating. Unfortunately my day off varies, so I can't get to her meeting every week. She said that if you really want to, and stick with it, you can lose 10% of your body weight in 12 weeks. For me, that is 20 pounds, and my most recent goal was to lose 18 more pounds before I go to WDW in 3 months. So that is definitely attainable if I can stick with it. I'm starting today off right, and I'm going to do it!! :cool1:

Have a great week, and good luck to all on weigh in. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Do you know how we say we "only" lost .2 or .4 and we feel like it is not much? Well look at a .4 gain in the same way, start tomorrow anew and have a better week this week. YOU CAN DO IT!

I am on vacation, visiting with friends and of course my eating is not what it should be, but I am trying to make good choices along with the splurges and I am trying to get my exercise in every day. I won't be weighing in tomorrow as usual so I am going to have to wait another week. Keep on keeping on everyone!

Absolute sense, I've been doing this a while. ;) BUT, I'll never attain Lifetime as, I've been doing it all ONLINE, no meetings. My understanding tho and, someone correct me if I'm wrong please, is that you choose the one time each month you want to weigh-in, not weekly, unless you want to. If you belong to WW (meetings) you can go everyday, anyday, to 1 or all meetings you can find! :grouphug: (makes me think of AA, sorry) So yes, I believe you CAN WI and, if it's not your 'time', then just tell them you're keeping an eye on yourself. ;) In the end tho, on Lifetime, you have to keep within the range, plain and simple so, up or down, the result is still to maintain, no matter what happens in between. :thumbsup2 CONGRATS!!! :cheer2:

Just to piggy back on Kim's response.....my sister is lifetime after losing 100# and she has to weigh once a month and she has to be within 5 pounds (up or down) of her predetermined target weight. She can go to as many or as few meetings as she wants but she does have to at the very least weigh one time a month. Until my father got sick she worked for WW so she would be there a lot for the meetings, but she had to give it up as his illness took too much time away from the meetings, now I think she goes just a couple of times a month.

Hello all!
Well, I started WW Sunday, weighed in at 217.4 <GASP>. The good news is I'm motivated, I have 2 buddies doing it with me, I've signed up at a gym and I'm ready to roll! I plan to post my weight here each Sunday to try and help with the accountability.

I am doing WW on-line. There are no meetings here. I lost about 40lbs with WW online about 3 years ago, sadly chunked it all and more back on.

I can do it this time! I need to do it this time!!!

Thanks for your help. I enjoyed reading your posts. You are a positive bunch of people!

 Katy! How great that you have committed to WW again. As someone who was once at 220# and is doing WW again I applaud you for getting back to what you know works. I lost 60# with WW online beginning 4 years ago, gained some of it back and am back to WW a second time. I still have 17# to go to where I was before, but I know WW and a commitment to myself is the way to do it (and WISH is a big motivator!)

Weighed in last night and only down .4 Oh well, slow and steady wins the race right?

Slow and steady wins the race for sure. Congrats on your loss, keep going onward and downward!!! :)

well I was actually up .4 on Tuesday! Arg. I am pretty sure it was mostly water though since one day later I was down almost 2 pounds. :confused3

I did double workouts last week too.

Welcome Katy!

Just a drive by to tell you all how bad I was last week! I ate, ate & ate! I think it was just the relief of getting Lifetime. So, I go weigh in last night (scared to death) and was up over 4 lbs.! I did deserve it though.

So, back on track with Core this week and hopefully it will come back off.

Keep up the good work guys!

Hi guys! I'm not attending WW meetings, but I have in the past and am going back on the program using resources I have from my past memberships. I work nights and since I sleep during the day, my weigh in is in the afternoon/evening when I get up.

My weigh-in was today (well, yesterday as it's after midnight here) and I lost 3.5 lbs for a total of 4.5 lbs (1 lb my first week, maintained my second week).

I'm just starting back on WW because I have a big trip to WDW next May and I'm the heaviest person in my family. I want to be able to keep up with everyone. I started at 240 lbs (even) and am hoping lose 60 lbs by the trip. It sounds doable in just over 8 months, but I'd be happy with 45 lbs lost.

Weigh in was last night. Lost 1.5 lbs of the 4 lbs I gained back last week. So I'm still 8 lbs away from my goal of being under 200 by Sept 9th.

Hang in there Kristi! We all have bad weeks, we are not perfect, just keep with your Core this week and you will see the results next week. I just got back from a week of vacation and I tried to be good, but I had my splurges, I weighed when I got home and I was up a pound, after two days that pound is gone. So onward and downward we go!! We CAN do this!

Welcome resol37, great beginnings for you! And Congrats PigletsPal, keep striving for that goal! Even if you don't make it by the 9th there is a great possibility you can make it in September! Keep up the great work one and all!

I'm here to tell you, it's doable. I started on Feb. 2, and here it is 7 mos later, and I'm down 65. Thank goodness for WW, and for core plan, and for all the DISers on the WISH boards!

Hello all! Here for my first official "weigh in." Started WW a week ago. I'm down 2.8lbs! I'm thrilled. WW online tells me it is too much, but I know at the beginning it can be a bit more than 2 a week, so I'm not worried about it. Starting excercise classes this week with a buddy. Very motivated at the moment. Had some rough spots this week, like 3 slices of veggie pizza last night instead of one.
Just keep swimming........

Katy-- WW online tells you 2.8 is too much? I started back (from a long hiatus, and a very unsuccessful run in with Nutrisystem!!)-- my loss this week (first week) is 6.4-- WW e-tools also yelled at me :-)

You are doing very well, and you can definitely lose more than 2 pounds the first week!!

:cheer2: Katy and DisneyGirl, congrats to you both on your weight loss this week!!! :cheer2:

Since the online resource is a computer I would imagine the "yelling" it did for you is because as a rule you are not supposed to lose over 1-2 pounds a week. But in the real life meetings they will tell you that a big lose the first couple of weeks isn't unusual (I think after 3 weeks they would talk to you about it being too much). The very first time I did WW I lost 7# my first week, but after that it went to the lower loses.

I missed weigh in last week because I was on vacation so I am looking forward to weighing in on Tuesday. I did pretty good, I only cheated a little bit and think I stayed the same, hope to see at least a 1# loss on Tuesday, but won't be disappointed if I didn't.

Keep up the great work everyone!!!!

:thumbsup2 everyone!!!!

Let's here some more updates this week. :cheer2: :woohoo: (except mine, of course :scared: )
