WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

I had my first Biggest Loser weigh in yesterday and in addition to the 3 pounds I posted that I lost, I lost an additional pound for a total last week of 4 pounds. So four pounds of holiday eating gone.....eight more to go!!

Well, after my first 1.5 weeks (my weigh-in day doesn't align with my start day), I have lost 7 lbs! I know that it is mostly due to it being the first week, but it is still encouraging!

Well, after my first 1.5 weeks (my weigh-in day doesn't align with my start day), I have lost 7 lbs! I know that it is mostly due to it being the first week, but it is still encouraging!

Today's my weigh in day but I can not get to my meeting ~ DD has a concert at school this morning. I weighed at home anyway and I am up a little from last weigh in(2 weeks ago...couldn't get to my meeting last week either due to a snow storm) Still struggling to stay on track......I don't know what the problem is :headache: Anyway, it's a new day, a new week, so I'll keep plugging along.:upsidedow
 

Hi all! I just started going (AGAIN!) to WW last week. Yesterday was 1 week. I lost 5 pounds and I'm thrilled!!! I signed up for the monthly pass because I wanted the e-tools so I could use my cell phone in the store to calculate points. My problem is in the evenings. I do really well at work because I bring my breakfast and lunch and I'm usually not hungry during the day. When I get home and start cooking though, it's like I'm just cramming everything in sight in my mouth!!! Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to maybe make a bowl of 97% ff popcorn and have that to munch on while your cooking. I got this idea from one of my WW meetings.

I weighed in on Monday night and lost 3.6 pounds. I hope that I don;t get the backlash next Monday but it will be okay if I do. I am choosing healthy foods so if the scale doesn't move I know that I am still ahead.

My problem is evenings too....I can be fine most of the day then once late afternoon or evening hits, I am eating everything in sight. I haven't been doing well lately, but in the past things I have done to curb the eating is to have cut up raw vegetables on hand for munching while I cook, or have some decaf tea instead of eating. I'm going to have to get back to that ;)

{{{HUGS}}} CEPMOM, I have been there many times and I know sometimes it is hard to get back to it. Just keep plugging away, you will get there.

One way to prevent yourself from "cramming" food in while cookie is to chew a piece of peppermint or spearmint gum, the minty taste will prevent you from sampling the wares until it is time to eat. I have also recently found that a cup of hot tea or one of those packets of Lipton Cup of Soup (1 PT) really goes a long way to curb hunger.

congrats to everyone for the losses, big and small!

It's been kind of a rough week for me, but tomorrow is another day!

I think gum or tea are great ways keep from eating. There are definitely nights where I will have many many mugs of tea to keep myself occupied. one thing I do at work, but should work at home, is sucking on some hard candy. I like the Brach's butterscotch. it's sweet and lasts a long time and I figure the one point is fantastic if it keeps me from eating all the junk we seem to have at work all the time. of course, eating fresh veggies would be healthier, and more filling... but sometimes it's the mindless snacking when I'm not hungry that I have to watch out for.

I am currently on my second week of weight watchers. I lost 5.2 lbs the first week. I want to lose weight for my DH's and my first Disney cruise, and continue to eat healthy. Keep up the good work everyone and congrats on all the losses.

Can I whine a little........

I am stressed and I just want to eat, eat, eat, but so far I have been keeping it at bay. My DH had shoulder surgery this week, so now in addition to working full time, taking care of the house, DS, meals, bills, etc I am now being a nurse. DH is unable to do anything himself, not even take a shower at this point and I am just physically wiped out. Because of the added jobs I now have I am unable to get to the gym for my workouts and I am starting to get grumpy because everyone needs a piece of me and there is nothing left for me! I tried squeezing Wii Fit in tonight in leiu of my workout, but that lasted all of 23 minutes and I never had a chance to get back to it. I know it is temporary and I know I shouldn't be edgy, but I am and I am trying really hard not to be, but it is difficult. It is almost 9pm and this is the first time I am sitting down for me all day. I could go finish my Wii Fit, but I am just too tired to even move more than just my fingers.

Vent over! I know this too shall pass, thanks for letting me unload.
