WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

 Mik and bucci!

Mik, good for you for getting right back at it, I find that works for me too. bucci, congrats on your loss this week, I wholeheartedly agree that the meetins make a huge difference, I have done it both ways and I know I need the support of my meetings.

Keep up the great work everyone.

Weekly weigh in update. Well I broke my foot so I skipped a week at the weigh in, but went back this week and still lost 2lbs for the last 2 weeks even though I was a total couch potato with my broken foot. Back on my feet but I'm happy with small victories!

oh no! I hope your foot heals quickly! Good job with the 2 lbs! :goodvibes

I started weight watchers at work 10 weeks ago. I've lost a whopping 5 lbs. I'm still hanging on though. Thankfully it only costs me $25 for a 12 weeks session. If it were more I'm afraid I would use $ as an excuse to quit.

My weigh in day is monday. I find it hard to weigh in right after the weekend. Does anyone else have this problem?

I hope everyone has a good week!!

-Susan
congrats on the 5 lbs! Yes, I would agree Mondays would be a hard weigh in day. I weigh on Wednesdays...gives me a few days to recover from the weekend!
Lost .9 pounds this week! Not great... but it's still a loss. Switching from Flex to Core this week- everyone I've talked to says it's better, so I"m taking their word for it!! :confused3 :woohoo:
Good job on the loss this week!:thumbsup2 Let me know how Core goes for you.
Hi, can I join in? I have been doing WW online now for 4 weeks. My Mom & sister are going to the meetings. So we obsess over everything points. I have WI on Mondays because it keeps me honest over the weekend. So far I have lost 11.7 since April 28th. :cool1: I have about 95 lbs to lose. I'd like to have 50 of them gone before we go back to WDW in March.
:woohoo: congrats on the loss so far! You're doing great! My friend (that is also on WW) go shopping every week to Trader Joes...you should see us both walking around the store with our points finder out, analyzing everything we touch:laughing: Keep up the good work!
:cool1:
I keep finding more and more threads and forums that I want to be part of!!
Woohoo!!!!
This one is PERFECT, and right up my alley.

Hi!!! My name is Wife2grumpy and I am a Weight Watcher.
I started in January of 2007. 16 months so far.
It was a life choice that I made. I am determined to keep going no matter how
long it takes for me to reach goal, lifetime, and FREE meetings. Then I will
continue going to free meetings for the rest of my life. It is my support, my
accountability, and I need it.

The details:
Started at 255 (I am 5'5")
When I started I think I got like 31 or 32 points per day.
I am now 193. (62 lbs. gone FOREVER!!)
And I get 24 points per day.

Over halfway there now!!! Woohoo!!!!

My goal is to be 150.
That puts me into a healthy BMI.
I would like to drop a little past that, but I know that I need to be able to
maintain that level. So, my ultimate goal is still unknown.

I weigh in on Saturday mornings. As of last Saturday I was 193.8.
I wanted to be 190 before our trip in 12 days. That lovely TOM will be
starting Wednesday, so I am not sure if I can realistically take off that 3.8
in 12 days. But that is not going to stop me from trying.
 way to go! You have accomlished so much! Keep at it....I feel the same way you do about it being a life change. I am below goal and reached Lifetime last month but it is now a way of life for me. I don't ever want to go back to where I was before. I find when people hear I follow WW, they question me and say I don't need to or "why do you want to lose weight?" They don't understand :sad2:

I walked into my first weight watchers meeting in years today. Strange how you know it's something you should do and somehow never do and then all of a sudden a light goes off in your head and you just do it.

I've got a lot to lose but so far I've made it almost through day one! One meal, one day at at time.

I have one question. I paid for the "monthly pass" that you can use the online site for also. However when I put in my number that they gave me at the meeting they are asking me to fill out my credit card # again. I'm a little uncomfortable doing that again, as I already paid for the month today. If anyone has any comments on that, I'd appreciate it. I have to admit the girl (woman) at the desk really didn't seem to know what she was doing.

I'm going in search of a weight loss ticker but I hope to be back to this thread for some encouragement over the next few weeks/months.
welcome and congratulations for taking the first step. It is amazing when that lightbulb finally goes off. I can't tell you you how many times I knew what I needed to do but just never took that step. Take it one day at a time, make small goals and you will succeed! :cheer2:

Glad to hear you are back on your feet and that you were able to weigh without the brace. I am so anal about my weigh in's that I always wear the same clothes...right down to my underclothes!!
OMG! I do the same thing!!! I keep saying I'll eventually switch to "regular" clothes but then Wed morning rolls around and there I am in my black stretchy capris and tank top :rolleyes1
Yay! Down a pound today. Hope everyone has a good week. . .I'm counting down the days: 7 more days of school! These first graders are READY to get out, let me tell you! I'm like this :scared1: by the end of the day!!!
 good job! Wow 7 days left! My kids have until 6/20 until summer break.

Hello all and :welcome: to all that have joined up. I've had a busy week, between field trips and parties. I weighed in this morning and lost .4lbs! I really thought I gained this week. I guess going to the zoo twice in 5 days helped. I haven't been able to stay for the meetings the past three weeks and I wasn't motivated at all. I'm so glad I stayed today. It keeps me motivated to keep going. WW isn't lying when they say staying makes a difference. I still like the core. I'm only losing a small amount a week, but I'm going the right way. Congrats to all the losers! To all who didn't, just keep at it, it does work! I've been doing this since Feb 7,2007 and it's been slow, but it is working!! :jumping1: Good luck in the next week and have a wonderful Memorial Day!!!:goodvibes

good job on the loss this week. Yes, the meetings make a big difference to me. I haven't missed on yet...I just love going every week. I find them to be very motivating. I am on the look out for another job and really don't want to have to give up my Wed morning meeting if I find something. Keep up the good work!

Back from WI and I am down 3.6 lbs :goodvibes the past two weigh ins I was up a total of 3 lbs so this past week I really worked at getting back on program. I wrote everything down and made sure I got the good health guidelines every day.

Tiggerlover ~ I used my regular points for maintenance (24) and still lost weight. Do you think I should increase my points some to maintain? At this point I don't think I should lose any more...I am now slightly below the lowest weight for my weight range. I did also use my weekly flex points but not my activity points (I get 1 per day when I use the treadmill ~ 30 minutes of moderate exercise)

Whoo hoo!!!!!!:cool1: Congratulations!! It is so rewarding to see the change on the scale when we do everything right. Great work.

Weigh to go!!!!!!:cool1: Slow and steady is the way to go for permanent weight loss. Great job!!

Thanks to everyone for their welcome. I'm finding I'm coming to this thread first now to see and get to know everyone. I'm trying to catch up with all of you so i'm going back reading from the beginning.

I weighed in on Monday this week but I really don't like that day. (Didn't care for the weigh in person or leader either) so I need to find another day. I'm going to go over at lunch time tomorrow and see if i like that one better. My biggest problem is that Monday is usually the most quiet day of the week at work. I think i work in the only place that we all hate Friday's LOL

So far so good.

I am in awe of all of you with your great weight loss. Not to take anything away from any of you with the 5 / 10 lbs to lose but it really is something to see those of you who have a significate amount of weight loss to do and are doing it. Really gives me hope.

hey everyone!!!
SO..tonight i made a weight watchers recipe for "parmesean turkey meatloaf" YUMMMMMMM! it was 4 pts a serving and i served it with broccoli spears and baked french fries ( 2 pts for those)..it really was a winner!
SIDENOTE: the recipe calls for finely ground whole wheat bread ...i only had my FIber one multi grain so i used that..wow TASTEY!!!
if you have a WW cookbook look it up..its worth a go! :)

I'm just getting home from weighing in. I'm down 2.6 pounds this week. Thank goodness because last week I had my first gain and it didn't feel good at all. :guilty: I usually go to meetings on a Wednesday at noon but my kids had their last day of school yesterday and it was a half day. I had to skip the meeting so today I went and just weighed in. I think I'll take the next couple of weeks and go to different meetings to see if I can find a leader I like in the mornings. I just think I'll find excuses not to go if I stick with Wednesday's during the summer. Lunchtime will be hard while I'm out and about with the kids.

Hi everyone! I have to be quick and this will probably be my last post for a couple of days, we have friends coming in any minute and their kids will be bunking down in our computer room, so I may not be around for the weekend. If I miss replying to someone I apologize, but I will try to hit everyone.

cepmom, good for you, that is fantastic! Congratulations, I know you are estatic. As for the points, since you are below the lowest you could adjust the points, but try it maybe a point at a time to see where you are comfortable maintaining.

Mary Anne, finding the right leader and meeting is key to success, if you don't like the first one, try another and another until you find one that works. That is the best thing you could do for yourself because it really does make a difference.

Sounds yummy, MA pigletfan, would love to hear the recipe for those baked fries!!!

Grumpy's Wife, great loss, :cool1:  :cool1:  :cutie:

I am down .8 this week, and thrilled since I did splurge this weekend. I'm going to stick with core again this week.

MA pigletfan- That meatloaf sounds fabulous. I love parmesan cheese. I buy the mozzarella string cheese by frigo and they have a light one that is only one point too and I can't tell it's light.

Grumpy's Wife- Whoo hoo!!!!!:cool1: 2.6 pounds is awesome!!!!

Mary Anne- It is nice if you can find a good meeting to go to regularly. I am doing ww on my own now, but I didn't have the same day off each week when I went to meetings, and wasn't able to find a regular meeting that i liked. I think I'm going to try again in the fall because I will have a set late day at work where I can go before.

tiggerlover-Hope you have a wonderful weekend with all your company.

What does everyone else have planned for the first weekend of summer and how are you going to try and stay on program?
I am going to maine for the weekend to my sisters' camp, and am planning to bring all core foods, and then will have my flex points for some ice cream and alcohol. I want to really stick with it and stay under my 35 this week.
The other thing that really makes a difference to me, is to come here and check in more often. I am always inspired by everyone here, and when I get off the computer, I don't want to go and eat unhealthy snacks.

Have a great weekend!!

Lost .8 on my period. Woohoo!!!
I am not sure have ever posted a loss during it before.
I will take it too.

I week until Disney!!!!!
Going 63 lbs lighter than last time!!

down .4 this week..i will take it..slow and steady ;)
have a great long weekend everyone!

A loss is a loss. .4 this week and another .6 makes a pound. Good job.

That's an awesome accomplishment. Just think how much more energy you'll have this time. Keep up the great work.

I went Friday morning @ 8:15 to a meeting and really enjoyed the leader. He wa a man and really got everyone into the meeting. He knew me and my co-worker were new to the group and really made us feel welcome. I expecially liked it as it was a mixed group with "older" members. First group was all young kids and this one just felt better. I'll be using Friday mornings a my weigh in days for awhile. I did not weigh in yesterday as I had already weighted on on Monday but that's OK, I will just wait till next Friday and hopfully see at least some kind of downward movememt by then. I have been very good with the water and counting of points since I started.

Even yesterday they brought in Burger King for the whole office. I knew I was too hungry to just have a small burger. I wouldn't have stopped, so I tookk one of the large plain salads, puts some dressing on it, added my own cheese and had two rice cakes. While they all had ice cream for desert, I had my own WW yogart, whick I actually like better. I'm not a big ice cream person (GIVE ME THAT WHOLE BAG OF CHIPS LOL )

Went to my meeting Thursday evening, although I couldn't stay for the meeting, I did weigh in though and I'm down 2.2 lbs for the week!!

That makes 6.2 lbs down since I started on 5/1. I got my 1st 5lb star on Thursday and boy did that feel good!:cool1: :cool1:

Hi guys, my name is Joanne, and I was on WW for about 4 months, last year. I lost 20 lbs, and boy did I feel great. Well, guess what, I stopped counting points, and now I have gained almost all the weight back. I have made some changes in my diet, but not enought to lose weight....so I am going back to WW next week, and looking forward to joining you all in the weight loss program. I am a friend of Maryann's and too, love all things Disney.

. Good luck on your new journey to weight loss sucess.

memy26 congrats on the 2.2 lb loss. That's great. :thumbsup2

Hi All!

I hope to join in! tiggerlover sent me from another thread ;)

I used WW (points) after the birth of my first child (now 6) to lose all my pregnancy weight and then some. I was back to my marriage weight (120....I am 5' 4" with a small frame) I felt good at this weight.

So then came baby number two! He turned three in February, and I figured it was about time to get back to the program. I started on 3/30/08 with flex plan again at 147 lbs. By 4/28/08 I had lost 4 lbs, but I felt hungry all the time. So......I decided to try CORE.

Since 4/28/08 I have shed another 6 lbs (I am 137 now) and I don't feel hungry!

I don't like the taste of core foods as much. But I guess that's OK, it means I don't eat as much. I am a sugar/carb junkie, and I think core has broken me of that.

So, that's where I am. My mimi goal was to be at 135 by 6/28/08 for our Disney Vacation. It looks like I am going to make it!!!!!!!!

Shan:)

Welcome Shan? Ar you DVC? We will miss you by a about a week at Disney, although I will be at OKW. First 5nights there and then the weekend at Cabins at Fort Wilderness.

Jo good to see you here too. We can do this together!!!

Today starts week two of my program. I'm not doing the weigh in till this Friday though. So far so good. I'm doing the flex plan and last week did not go over my points into the 35 extra at all. I admit that is because I get 26 a day. I"m sure as my weight comes down and so do my daily points, I will use those weekly bonus points.

Hope everyone has a good day today.
