WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

cepmom- hugs on your gain, but you have a good plan to balance out your week ahead. I find a gain is not too hard to take when we know we haven't been on program. good luck at the first communion.

Grumpy's Wife-Congratulations on your loss, and hugs that it didn't get you to your 20# goal. I think we need to work harder to get to our goals, so that when we reach them, we never go back. I remember when I was almost under 200 pounds. It took about a month, 200.2-200.6-200.0, and finally got below 200, and never went back. Hang in there. Next week will you will get there. :cheer2:

NCRedding-Congrats on your loss!! Thats a wonderful loss for one month!!:thumbsup2

Hey tiggerlover.:wave2: How is core going for you? I haven't been eating too healthy this week, and this morning, I just pulled out my ww books, and am going to give core a try. You and Bucci818 have inspired me. I looked at the food I have in the house, and when I went shopping the other day, I was planning to get back on program, so many of the things I have are core. Plus with the nice weather, I love to grill. I'm going to do it for the next week, starting tomorrow. I don't have any big challenges for the week ahead, except i need to make cookies for a function next thursday, so I will plan to save some of my35 points for that. One of my big challenges will be at work, I've been eating a package of lorna doones every day, and sometimes more, so I'm going to bring fruit, or yogurt to have when those cravings hit, and also will plan to have a cup of tea then. Planning is key. I weigh in tomorrow, and then will commit to core.

Have a great, losing day everyone!!

Weighed in this morning........gained 1.6.:sad2: I know what I did wrong. I ate way to much. It was all emotional eating too. But, I gave myself a pep talk this morning. I know what I have to do and I'm going to do it. I do like the core plan, and it was working before this week. So back on plan, and next week will be better!!!:yay: Congrats to all the losers this week, and anyone like me, next week will be better!!:goodvibes

Marianna at least you know what you did wrong and it wasn't a big surprise. Next week will be your week to be the big loser. Let's hope we are all big losers for next weigh in. Downward we go.

Is anyone welcome?

I just joined this week. I have done WW in the past with a fair amount of success but I tend to give up before I hit their "ideal" weight. It seems a very low number but I have every intention of making this a lifetime commitment. Currently, I'm starting on core because I have a big appetite and at least I know I can eat as much as I feel I need with the core foods. The points intimidate me for some reason. I started walking about 2 months ago so my starting weight was about 8lbs less already.

I'm really looking forward to getting and giving support to others on this tough journey. I don't know how to add those cool signature goals but I suppose my ultimate goal is 65lbs. I'll be thrilled to hit the initial 10%.

:grouphug: Even when we know what we do wrong we can still use a hug. Here's hoping that this week is a better week for you.

 Hiya Mik! Glad to see you as always! Core is going well, it seems to be a lot more managable than counting points and journaling. The food is really the good stuff we should be fueling our bodies with and it makes a big difference. I know I was whining about the bread and pastas, but to be honest it isn't that hard. I do have to admit that I still would love to devour the starchy fooods, but I really am good without them. I am a huge sushi lover and have been trying to order it with brown rice where I can, but when I can't I will eat it with the white rice. Also, last weekend we celebrated DH's birthday and I ate some bread and cheese, but the rest of the week was Core so I am fairing well. I weigh on Saturday, so we will see where I end up for week four. Good for you for giving Core a go, I am anxious to hear how it works for you. Good luck. (And hooray for planning!!)

:welcome: So glad you have joined us! Best of luck to you on your current journey with WW. If it is any consolation, you are not alone, the first time I tried WW I gave up. The second time I made it to goal, but made the mistake of thinking I could do it alone....I gained 25# back. Third time I lost the 25 and have been a lifetime member for a year this month. I am also a recent convert to Core after many years of following the flex plan. One thing I wanted to say is when you start losing weight and have lost at least half, consult with your doctor to see what you both think a healthy weight is for you. I am 10 pounds over what WW said I should be, I knew I couldn't maintain what they wanted, my doctor agreed, and she wrote a note and WW adjusted my goal. As long as your goal is reasonable and your doctor agrees you are all right. Welcome again and best of luck on your journey.

:yay: I have been attempting to get back on ww for the last four weeks. I get focused stay within my points (20), work out consistently, and then I don't lose a pound. I get frustrated eat whatever, gain 2 or 3 pounds and then I get frustrated and then the cycle starts again. I am here for support and guidance :cheer2: ...I don't want to give up. I need to lose about 15 pounds to be at a healthy weight. It shouldn't take too long...but I need to be patient! Thanks for you help!

to both of you. Jump right in and post with us. It helps so much hearing from others what they do or what food finds they found this week.

hello everyone! :wave2:
I am hoping that its ok if i join you all here on this WW thread. I have been counting points for the past 3 weeks and I am sad to say that the lbs aren't falling off at all. i have def. been more active and staying on plan so i am BEYOND frustrated. I know that my body is getting more toned and some people have even commented that it looks like I have lost weight..its hard for me to say " actually no I have not lost any significant lbs, but thanks for being fooled ;)"
I also belong to another great WISH thread here, the Peeps...but I really wanted to join in on a WW one to get some tips, share some info and just find some more support on what sometimes feels like a never ending journey...

Stayed on points ALL week and I gained a pound! Can anyone shed some light on this? :confused3 I did WW about 4 years ago and the weight just fell off with an average of 2 pounds per week. I know that I am "older" now and over the 35 hump but this is ridiculous!! I need some insight to what is happening!

Hi everyone ...... I'm sorry to see that so many have been frustrated this week! I've been there over the past 6 months myself!!! I guess we all go through positive & negative "head space" moments in this journey .....

Every week (Saturdays) I go to my meeting ... without fail ... and weigh in to see if it's a positive or a negative result - I've had both! The one thing I do that I'd like to suggest to my new found friends here :grouphug: is this: I write down one sentence, phrase, etc. that I hear in the meeting each week to use as inspiration. This is usually something my leader shares, but sometimes it comes from another member! Now, I actually WRITE this down - you know, on paper, with a pen - so that I can look at it later in the week (or post it somewhere prominent). For instance:

"Journal only on the days you want to lose weight."

Oh. I didn't think of it that way.
We all get lazy sometimes, I know I do, and we just don't bother. Of course, I step on the scales on Saturday and say "What!?!" :confused3 Then, there are those weeks that I am soooo faithful - don't go over daily points, drink all my water, exercise - and nothing .... or worse, a gain!!! :scared1: The first few times that happened, I was really frustrated .... and angry .... :headache: BUT .... I was also determined. I guess, in the end, the determination is what is winning .... and it has to. I'm not there yet. I won't be "there" for a long time ..... but I'm a lot closer than I was when I walked in the door of my WW location 6 months ago!

I'm sorry ..... I didn't mean to sound like I was on a "soap box" rant. To those that may have received it that way, please accept a heartfelt apology. :flower3: I just wanted to share personal experience and growth that I have gone through during my journey. The bottom line .....

DON'T GIVE UP!!! No matter what ..... you can't stop!

Gina. Three weeks your're probably in the still getting use to the program phase. Keep at it because we are all a true testament that it really does work. Are you eating all of your points? My WW leader stresses the importance of that. It sort of goes against what you think but you have to eat to lose weight. I hope this is the week that the scale really drops a few pounds for you.

Pixie it was probably something that you ate that was really salty. Try flushing your system with tons of water this week. I know how frustrating that can be. I weighed myself this morning and the darn scale showed me one pound more than at my meeting two days ago. At least I have five more days to get it off but come on, what's up with that?

As I type this I'm enjoying a WW yougart (Lemon Cream Pie) and it is delicious. Have ya'll tried this flavor yet? Gotta love those 1 point snacks!

:thanks: :cheer2: Grumpy's wife and Mouseaddicts...thank you so much for your insight and thoughts. I will take your words and try this next week. I have to stay determined and it will all fall into place! Thanks again!

What a great saying. Don't feel like you are ranting. We all learn little bits and pieces from everyone. I personally get something out of every post on this thread. I'm going to try and write down a saying on Wednesday from my meeting. I'll post mine, it should be fun.

Whew ....... :scared:
I was a bit stressed out after I completed my post thinking it might be taken the wrong way!!! I thought "gosh, I don't want to upset the very people that I will need encouragement from in the weeks to come!!!"

I'm relieved that my post was received as my heart intended! :grouphug:

Now ...... send some pixie dust for MY weigh-in tomorrow AM!! I might have to come back & read my own words of encouragement if it doesn't go well! :rotfl:

YUMMY 3 PT SANDWICH ALERT!

Welcome!!! Yes, patience is necessary when trying to lose weight! We have all been there before with the frustration. Good luck...you can do it!

Are you eating all your points daily? Making sure you are getting in all the good health guidelines each day? I found that I lost more weight when I made sure I got in all the good health guidelines, ate all my daily points and most if not all of the weekly points too. I go to WW with a friend that reached Lifetime last year. She got pregnant and had a baby a month or so ago and is now working on getting back to her goal weight. This time around it is much slower for her but she did tell me the other day she doesn't bother with getting in all her good health guidelines and some days she doesn't eat all her points due to being busy with the baby.

this sounds really good....guess what I'm having for dinner???:rolleyes1

Day two, so far so good. Wednesday was my first meeting but the leader did emphasize the journaling. One quote that stuck with me because I've repeated since the meeting was "we underestimate what we eat and overestimate how much we exercise.". This is definitely my downfall. If I have to write something down, I'm less likely to eat it. I'm using the online journal even though I'm doing core just to get used to keeping track. Getting in the water is my toughest so far.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!
