cepmom-
hugs on your gain, but you have a good plan to balance out your week ahead. I find a gain is not too hard to take when we know we haven't been on program. good luck at the first communion.
Grumpy's Wife-Congratulations on your loss, and hugs that it didn't get you to your 20# goal. I think we need to work harder to get to our goals, so that when we reach them, we never go back. I remember when I was almost under 200 pounds. It took about a month, 200.2-200.6-200.0, and finally got below 200, and never went back. Hang in there. Next week will you will get there.
NCRedding-Congrats on your loss!! Thats a wonderful loss for one month!!
Hey tiggerlover.
How is core going for you? I haven't been eating too healthy this week, and this morning, I just pulled out my ww books, and am going to give core a try. You and Bucci818 have inspired me. I looked at the food I have in the house, and when I went shopping the other day, I was planning to get back on program, so many of the things I have are core. Plus with the nice weather, I love to grill. I'm going to do it for the next week, starting tomorrow. I don't have any big challenges for the week ahead, except i need to make cookies for a function next thursday, so I will plan to save some of my35 points for that. One of my big challenges will be at work, I've been eating a package of lorna doones every day, and sometimes more, so I'm going to bring fruit, or yogurt to have when those cravings hit, and also will plan to have a cup of tea then. Planning is key. I weigh in tomorrow, and then will commit to core.
Have a great, losing day everyone!!

I know what I did wrong. I ate way to much. It was all emotional eating too. But, I gave myself a pep talk this morning. I know what I have to do and I'm going to do it. I do like the core plan, and it was working before this week. So back on plan, and next week will be better!!!
Congrats to all the losers this week, and anyone like me, next week will be better!!
Even when we know what we do wrong we can still use a hug. Here's hoping that this week is a better week for you.
Hiya Mik! Glad to see you as always! Core is going well, it seems to be a lot more managable than counting points and journaling. The food is really the good stuff we should be fueling our bodies with and it makes a big difference. I know I was whining about the bread and pastas, but to be honest it isn't that hard. I do have to admit that I still would love to devour the starchy fooods, but I really am good without them. I am a huge sushi lover and have been trying to order it with brown rice where I can, but when I can't I will eat it with the white rice. Also, last weekend we celebrated DH's birthday and I ate some bread and cheese, but the rest of the week was Core so I am fairing well. I weigh on Saturday, so we will see where I end up for week four. Good for you for giving Core a go, I am anxious to hear how it works for you. Good luck. (And hooray for planning!!)
So glad you have joined us! Best of luck to you on your current journey with WW. If it is any consolation, you are not alone, the first time I tried WW I gave up. The second time I made it to goal, but made the mistake of thinking I could do it alone....I gained 25# back. Third time I lost the 25 and have been a lifetime member for a year this month. I am also a recent convert to Core after many years of following the flex plan. One thing I wanted to say is when you start losing weight and have lost at least half, consult with your doctor to see what you both think a healthy weight is for you. I am 10 pounds over what WW said I should be, I knew I couldn't maintain what they wanted, my doctor agreed, and she wrote a note and WW adjusted my goal. As long as your goal is reasonable and your doctor agrees you are all right. Welcome again and best of luck on your journey.

I did WW about 4 years ago and the weight just fell off with an average of 2 pounds per week. I know that I am "older" now and over the 35 hump but this is ridiculous!! I need some insight to what is happening!
The first few times that happened, I was really frustrated .... and angry ....
BUT .... I was also determined. I guess, in the end, the determination is what is winning .... and it has to. I'm not there yet. I won't be "there" for a long time ..... but I'm a lot closer than I was when I walked in the door of my WW location 6 months ago!
I just wanted to share personal experience and growth that I have gone through during my journey. The bottom line .....
thank you for the warm welcomes as well!
