I will be going to Applebees for dinner and I'm happy they have WW choices on the menu. I'm just not sure how they taste.

What have you tried from the WW menu at Applebees and how was it?

I've had the french onion soup...it was OK. Don't expect it to taste like the real thing. The cheese is barely there & definitely fat free, and the soup itself just tastes different. But for a low fat lunch or appetizer, it's worth it.

Enjoy your dinner!

I had the Tortilla Chicken Melt on Sunday and LOVED it!! What I really want to try is the Chocolate and Raspberry cake.

I went last year and had some fajita thing. It was fairly plain but okay. Warning: I woke up the next morning with extreme puffiness and I do not consider myself to be sodium sensitive. I think they may load up a bit on the sodium to make up for the fat/flavor loss.

I've tried the Tortilla Chicken Melt (REALLY good, lots of veggies inside, even my "foodie" DH liked it), Chicken Skillet (just OK, the veggies were steamed which was a little bland, but I liked the whole wheat pita triangles), and the Berry Lemon Cheesecake (excellent, great lemon flavor, yummy berry sauce).

I would recommend the Tortilla Chicken Melt - it's really big, but for 10 points, that's more than a meal anyway. It's pretty good the next day out of the fridge. :p Even though I'm not doing WW, I'm really happy to see healthier options (with nutritional info) available. Hope you had a great dinner!

Well I went to Applebees tonight to celebrate my birthday. I tried the french onion soup appetizer 3 pts, the shrimp and sirloin skewers w/rice & veggies 7 pts and the rasberry chocolate cake for dessert 4 pts. Everything was good in my opinion. The soup was definitely not the same as the full fat version but still very good for 3 points. A little salty but yummy. The shrimp and sirloin skewers were good. Veggies were somewhat bland but they really fill you up. Dessert was very good. Better than I thought. It was a small piece of cake but for 4 points I really enjoyed it. I left there feeling very satisfied and didn't feel like I was dieting at all. I can't wait to go again to try the tortilla chicken melt and the new dessert they have. Some sort apple apple crisp w/ice cream!

I know this is too late to help you tonight  but I've tried the Chicken Skillet (my favorite), the tango chicken sandwich (yummy), the mesquite chicken salad (very good), the onion soup (delicious), the lemon cheesecake (extrememly yummy), and the chocolate cake (very good). I've also found that it depends on which Applebee's you go to, and who is cooking. I've had the chicken skillet many times, and every time has tasted a little different. Basically, I haven't ever disliked any of the WW menu items! :p

Sorry to sidetrack....can anyone tell me when Applebee's expanded the WW menu? When I went, only once early in the promotion, they had shrimp-only skewers, which were fair. There was no shrimp & sirloin! And several of those chicken dishes were not there yet. Just wondering. TIA :sunny:

According to a waitress I had, the soup is identical to the "normal" version they sell, just with fat free cheese instead. I only know this since she brought me the "real" version by accident and I could tell the cheese looked different. I asked her, and she tried to get me to keep that one since "the only difference is the cheese." I happen to love this soup and get it every time I eat there! Yum!

I also love the terriyaki shrimp skewers and the cheesecake too. I want to check out the shrimp & sirloin now...

I have tried the Chicken Skillet, (yummy); Chicken Sandwich, (too dry, not very exciting); Shrimp skewers, (yummy) and the Cheesecake Mousse thing (okay).

Forgot to mention that the tilapia is awesome as well. I think I will have then when we go out for my dad's birthday this weekend!
