Last night our leader wrote the following on the board:
1. You may have anything you want in life..........
Then she wrote
Provided that you know exactly what you want.
2. Want it badly enough.
3. Confidently expect to get it.
4. Persitently determime to obtain it.
5. You are willing to pay the price.
We talked about each statement-
1. You can't get what you want, if you don't know what it is that you want. You need to set specific goals. Saying- I want to loose weight, doesn't give you an idea of what you expect.
2. You must really want it. Those that say I want to loose weight, but aren't ready to make the commitment will not loose weight. They must want it badly enough.
3. If you aren't confident that you can do it, you wont. If you say.......I think I can loose 25 pounds by Thanksgiving, or maybe I will, you are confident that you will and will more than likely not achieve your goal.
4. If you are persistant and determined, you will succeed.
5. You must be willing to pay the price, no matter what it is. If it means that you must give up food at a party, or make other sacrifices, you must do it.
___________
She gave 3 people a piece of paper with an instruction on it. They went to different corners of the room and she told them to look at the paper and do what it says. The paper said walk. Each person started walking around the room. She asked how they knew how far to walk, when to walk etc. Each person said that it said to walk, so they just did.
I am not sure what point it was supposed to make, she gets sidetracked sometimes. Maybe she missed telling us the point, or maybe I failed to grasp it!
_____________
Then she handed us a handout- to set goals
Winning Outcomes- Tools for living
A winning outcome is:
-Stated in the positive.
-Specific (who, where, when, what and how specifically)
-Within my control
-A good fit with my life. (Will I have to give up any of the posititves in my life that come with the way things are now? Am I willing to do that? If not, how will I modify my Winning Outcome so that it fits with my life?)
Briefly describe the outcome you want to achieve at WW's.
Outcome -
Checklist:
-Is your outcome stated in the positive?
-Within your control?
-Specific?
- A good fit with your life?
If any of these conditions is missing, rewrite your outcome and include the missing condition. If you like, review it with your leader before, during or after your next meeting.

We talked about eating out. One person went to a diner and was having a hard time getting them to make it fit her needs. She told them she was on WW's, and was trying to get them to fix it differently for her. She wanted half a chicken breat, they brought her half a chicken (whole) and she could only eat a little of the breast meat. There wasn't much breast meat and they put gravy on the entire plate. We talked about how you have to demand things, but that because of lack of knowledge, lack of caring and education that waiters/watresses don't do what you ask. We all agreed that chain restaruants are better than diner's in getting what you want. Every place is different.
She shared a recipe for a cake:
2 boxes jello - made regular way
1 angel food already baked
fruit (2 cups cut up)
2 tubs FF cool whip
Once the jello is firm like light mayo (slighly firm), add 1 tub of cool whip. Add fruit. Rip cake into pieces. Put seran wrap in bottom of a cake pan (like a bundt or angel food pan). Add cake, put jello mixture over top. Put in refrigerator over night. The next day lift out of pan by the plastic. Put the 2nd tub of cool whip over cake like frosting. 1/12 of cake = 1 point.
That was our meeting. Also , if anyone wants to add from their own meeting, this could be helpful also.
