WP & M early Package pick-up MB?

I asked this months ago but wanted to confirm this is still possible. We are arriving in Orlando a few days before checking into our resort. We added the water parks option to our tickets and was hoping to be able to use them prior to checking into the resort. Has anyone been able to do this at the water parks or do we need to go to DTD? Is this still possible with Magic Bands? Thanks!
