Wow.

ohhh, I missed the other apology thread (how'd I miss that???) Anyway, I really did take his post totally as a joke (not in a mean way). I've always known his posts to be helpful to people, never mean. But of course I haven't read every single one - but I admit I just visited his profile - then thought, "how many people on this thread also just visited his profile?" :rotfl:.

I can see where you're coming from too though.

Frank, we're talking about you like you're not even here - I don't mean it in any way. And yea, you're cute, and you like disney, so again with my seinfeld references - where people thought Jerry was gay because he was skinny and neat... well, you're cute and you like disney, people are gonna talk! :rotfl:

and now we know you're not gay, NOT that there's anything wrong with it! and NOT that it is/was/should be anyone's business.

Now let's all group hug! :grouphug:

I don't think there was another thread. I think the poster was referring to this thread and the fact that the OP was apologizing about how she was coming off in previous threads. Frank was just making a joke and of course this being the DIS it was totally taken the wrong way since there are people who can't appreciate a little sarcasm.

I think out of this though we have a new tag line for the DIS "DIS, only for Women, Married Men, Gay Men and Frank aka "Firedancer'".

:lmao:

And sorry dude, thought you were. I swear I saw a post where you were talking about a partner. I never thought the Dis would attract single, straight guys. You really do learn something new here every day!! :flower3:

No problem. I'm not sure where the assumption came from but it is what it is. I have posted about gay rights issues like DADT not because I am but because I think it is wrong to treat people differently just because they are.

I can see where you're coming from too though. I have a sarcastic and dark sense of humor (as evidence by some no longer existing threads) and some people just don't like it.

Thank you.

I started out on the WISH boards and found some of the other boards from there. I like Disney but don't obsess about it and travel to many other places where there are no talking mice.

And yes, the post was meant as a joke, nothing more.

I think there was another one, the lake and the Amish refer to someone, but I missed the whole thing.

And I'm :lmao::lmao::lmao: with the "and Frank"... that's one of the funniest things I've ever read!

Who else thinks Frank (now that he's come out as straight) is now going to be getting some pm's from single, disney loving girls... you better post ugly pics of yourself from now on Frank (I loved that one of you holding that little boy - nephew I assumed).

I think he might too....I must say I am a single girl in my early 30's and I think Frank is pretty cute.

Pretty is as pretty does, but anyway...

Megs, I've always thought you were a thick-skinned, seemingly mentally healthy person who just kind of "spoke" your thoughts the minute they popped into your head. You do seem to focus on little "problems," but I always enjoy your posts.

Oh boy Frank, here ya go! This is just the beginning...

We should set up "the Dis dating game"... who wants to host???

Although Frank looks pretty athletic and does those marathons... contestants would have to be able to keep up w/ that. All right Frank, what's your favorite ride at WDW?

or no, Frank has to ask "Ladies, if you could be any ride at WDW, what would you be and why?" :rotfl:

Didn't someone once post about a Dis based TV show? I think a Dis based webisode version of The Bachelor would do great, we could all vote on where in WDW they could spend their dates :3dglasses I'd be hooked

hey Meg (OP) - are you thinking "thank g#d they're not talking about me anymore" :rotfl:

I agree for the most part. The only time I thought you were truly insane (j/k!) was with the guest towels in the bathroom. And even then, you didn't take offense when everyone told you you were crazy, you were a good sport about it. :thumbsup2

I've heard from two native Michigan-ers who are now local that while our area is very nice, the people in Michigan are just nicer and more friendly. Maybe that's why you pop up with "stuff" and expect people to just listen and sympathize instead of just taking your thoughts for what they are. You are expecting nice and friendly but that is sometimes lacking here.

:rotfl:

You are welcome, Meg. :rotfl:

 Did you really just say that, my jaw is on the ground

Firedancer, I never thought you were gay. In fact I never ponder anyone's orientation one way or the other.
I assumed that he was, based on his posts and avatar, but don't really care one way or the other.

Interesting, I never thought the Dave Matthews Band Fire Dancer had anything to do with sexual orientation one way or the other.

is that what Fire Dancer is, a song by Dave Matthews?

Not a song. Depending on which story you believe either:

A. Dave drew his impression of the crowd from the stage and the fire dancer is what he drew.

B. It comes from a line in Tripping Billies
We are all sitting
Legs crossed round a fire
My yellow flame she dance

The first is the more likely according to both of the biographies I have read.

It is on the cover of Stand Up, concert shirts, decals, and is pretty much the most recognizable symbol of the band. Since this is a Disney board I just did a little photoshopping to merge in a Disney symbol. It took maybe 5 minutes total.

When I look at it, I always see a fairy (possibly Tink :confused3) or a sprite over a Mickey head, although I do remember you posting once before about it being a reference to Dave Matthews Band.

FD and I are having this conversation in a different thread  but all I see is a flaming Tink (which is probably why some people think he's gay) and a Mickey head.

yes, it looks like a fairy-type dancer (disney-type fairy, just to be clear!).

So Frank, any pm's yet? I see you're just ignoring all the posts referencing you and your "new" status as an available, disney loving guy (although you never said you were available). Sorry if we're embarrassing you - it's just kinda fun, but not in a mean way at all!! Like friends hanging out ribbing each other, knim?

OK, am I the only person cringing?

All I see is a Mickey head combined with fire. I guess my Rorchach test would be a lot less interesting than others. To quote the great Freud, "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar."
