I just happened upon this thread a few minutes ago and kept reading because it made be giggle but I have to interject here...PLEASE don't change your avatar! I love it and it makes me smile everytime I see it!

My best friend is an ant. She's been to 60+show and I've spent more $ than I care to admit on DMB too, so some of us do know what a fire dancer is!

I didn't know the reference to the band, so now that I'm really looking at the name FireDancer and the avatar... well... you know (well, *now* you know). LOL!

Keep it if you don't want to be flooded w/ girls asking you out (one girl on this thread already said she's early 30's and single and thinks you're cute)... but the words out now anyway, so watch out and have fun

I took some time and looked over some of my old threads... Wow.

I am a serious complainer about non issues. I am REALLY not like that in person. I'm sort of embarrassed with myself tonight.

I'm going to step back from posting such "personal" threads for a while. It's just so easy to "think" something and anonymously come on here and gripe, but I see how insane it makes me seem. I now see it's not necessary to gripe about every minute detail of my life.

I know I'm really only a faceless, mostly nameless person on here, but after tonight, I'm a little embarrassed.

To those who have offered kind words, thank you. To those who have called me out, thank you.

I'm just shocked tonight! At myself!

Back to the original topic, I think sometimes you just need to vent or whatever about things that are bothering you (general people, not necessarily OP), and you don't realize how it comes across to others who are reading it.

Megs - Good for you! I think it takes a big person to make this post.

Use this as an opportunity to think about what really matters. Once you have that baby to take care of and love, the used guest towels and Christmas Eve neighbors won't even make a blip on your radar.

There will probably be a whole new host of dumb things you could complain about once that baby comes, but if you focus on what is truly important, you will enjoy those things much more. You will be a more relaxed and happy mom, and raise a more relaxed and happy baby.
